Most people from any place south or east of Lower Saxony don't understand Plattdeutsch, so you can probably make that point for every Bundesland. Come to think of it, I haven't encountered any Germans saying that they couldn't understand people from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

As a German who has never been to either state I'm ignorant to the point that if I was asked about a big difference between Alabama and Mississippi I could only answer that Alabama has vastly more successful college football programs.

Life expectancy overall is 78, but life expectancy for people who make it to 76 is about 87 if you go by actuarial tables.

Extra ICU capacity requires additional beds, additional medical equipment like ventilators and additional nurses who can take care of the patients. It should be fairly straightforward to procure the beds and the medical equipment if the responsible parties have the will and the money to do so, but additional nurses may be hard to find, given that many existing ones are burnt out and/or sick from Covid-19 themselves.

it's okay. one thing i don't understand is when the quarterback thrown the ball at the 20 yard line and the receive catches it at the 30 yard line and runs it in for a touchdown why is that 70 pass yards and not 10 pass yards and 60 rushing yards. Seems stupid.

My guess is that this was implemented at a time when TV replays weren't widely and instantly available. It's easy to write down in between plays where the previous play ended, what kind of play it was and where the line of scrimmage for the succeeding play is, so for the TD play you would have "LOS: A20, pass; end of play: B0, TD".
Nowadays replays are widely available for high-profile football leagues, so the spot of the completion can be determined easily, and advanced stats are compiled.
