Now I'm confused. You guys tell me not to send a follow up text and that doing so would come across as desperate , but now you guys are telling me to not move on?

It probably is best to just move on, judging from the responses . If she texts me, then she eventually texts me and I'll decide if it's worth responding to or getting back in touch with her. And if she doesn't...then the benefit would be moving on and not having to constantly think or have her on mind.

If it's been that long she probably isn't interested.

With that being said; it could be a "test" of sorts. Basically you have to ask: who initiates conversation first? If it's always been her, she may be looking to see if you're willing to do it for a change (if you don't you lost); if you always do it though, it's not a test and she found something/someone else to entertain herself with.

Basically ask yourself this question: Do you want to be with someone who wouldn't say hi to you if you didn't say it first? Would you rather be with someone who values their time with you and fights for it, or someone that could take it or leave it?

Yeah, I've always done it. When it comes to texting: I mostly use it to make plans. The type of " This date works for me. Would X or Y date or time work for your schedule" type of texts. Or If I met them that day, i'll send a confirmation text when I get home, letting them know I enjoyed seeing them.

I never really wait for them to initiate convo or to start the convo , because I find that 95% of the time, I have to be the one who does it. I try to also avoid having full personal or lengthy convos in text because it's bit me in the ass in the past.

Basically: For texting I use it to make plans(and I text first when it concerns this). For interactions and all that stuff: I save it for Real Life, as I find I can better talk or converse IRL or build chemistry, compared to text.

The woman in particular is 20. I don't have a good track record with 19-21 year olds, because I find that this age group tends to ghost or flake more often. While women who are 25+ tend to be more communicative. But this is just my personal experience

You come off as a needy. My cousin just had this situation happen to her, where a guy texted her a second time during a short period, after not hearing back.

That already kind of put her off, but then he went an extra step and left her a voice mail with the exact same message he texted her with. Then he started following her on Instagram.

Basically, it tells them you got nothing going on but them. And in the really, really early stages of dating, that's a red flag. You start showing signs of constant interest once you've got things going for a bit.

Okay. I texted her on Saturday(I've seen her 3x in person prior ), but haven't received a response yet. Part of me wanted to send a follow up, but a large par of me is also telling me to just move onto another woman and start from scratch
