Looks good! Do you have trouble with angles when drawing? How did you tackle it personally?

If you mean like perspective I use a ton of references. Like when I draw someone from the side like my most recent one, I found a picture of a woman doing that same pose. I drew the basic polygons matching where her bodyparts were. I also will draw nude models to practice anatomy. Even though I draw in an "anime" style, I still want to make sure the parts are in the right spot.

I legit don't understand how y'all draw anything on actual factual irl paper. I can't do anything without a trusty undo button lol. Lotsa talent up in here tho.

It's rough when I go to paper but I'm with out on that undo button being a godsend.

I also spent way too much gil on glamour stuff so I might draw my character with her new style"

Start with REALLY light strokes. If yoy mess up you can always erase easier. Next time though, start with the body anatomy, then the head. I usually start with the body first so I orient my head correctly.

Same here. The last 2 I did have me drained for ideas for right now. I don't want to actually start my webcomic until I'm moved into the new place and have a drawing tablet. So all I can really do now is the character concept art.

This is interesting, did you make the whole story yourself? How long is it?

I remember making my own. I mapped out a whole world and did tons of lore/timelines. Never ended up finishing or even using it because Covid made me stop DnD >_>

Yeah, it's actually a webcomic idea I'm test piloting as a D&D campaign. Right now its pretty heavily fleshed out. I had a basic outline at the beginning and created more characters as I went along.

The blue-haired elf, Emmi, was my 2nd character I created for the campaign. Below is her twin sister, An'na. She started out evil but the party was able to bring her to the good side more or less and she's been a staple NPC.

Not exactly, she was liberated from a lab but had to abandon her twin sister. This is where she temporarily went into hiding. She wants to go back to save her sister but her benefactor wont let her because it's dangerous.

So its not a good idea drawing the eyes, nose and mouth of a character before mapping out their head structure first >_>

Yeah generally you outline the head, draw your brow line and where you want the angle to be. As time goes on, you need to do those marks less. I still do it every time.

...and what do you thinkshould I trace with ink, or leave it pencil only? I like the pencil shading, but ink makes it so much more pronounced and makes it pop. I could also use a mixture, as in; do the lines in ink, but also shade with the pencil...

I like the pencil but I think if you inked it well it'd really pop

That guy took me about 2 hours. I did it Thursday and did this one the same night from about 6 to 9pm. Speedpainting for sure lol so there are a few mistakes on the beholder like the extra eyes in the back should be different colors. But I needed it for game tonight.

Here's the other. It's a model of the pirate queen I drew a few weeks ago.

Edit: ugh it went sideways again.

That looks great so far!

Not my best but I had to sketch these 2 guys out before D&D tomorrow. Left is a demon that's going to offer a contract to a player, right is the true Pirate King after the players help him regain his memories. I had to get these both out in 30 mins so be gentle.

You really changed a lot of the coloring for the final part. Not that I'm complaining, it's pretty interesting to see the differences.

Oh the final one is the one from #352. But my d&d players follow my instagram and her color scheme would be a spoiler since she's a character they already met.

I appreciate it! I'm gonna do the shading later. As for the clothes I'm going to be going with a really dark aqua color and beige. I'm hoping it doesn't clash with her hair but if it does I'll probably do some adjustments.
