We are then allowed to protest/ boycott the decision in both cases. thats just free speech and free market so don't complain about people getting mad at robinhood. You got mad at twitter. They didn't feel pressured to change their stance. For what its worth, Robinhood does seem to be at least partially folding to pressure and reopening purchasing. However, if citadel conspired with Robinhood to coordinate an attack on the price of a stock or stocks that is not a private company making a legal decision or free speech that is illegal market manipulation per current regulations. There was a lot of complaining from the big boys when retail investors in a completely free and open forum merely spoke about gme stock data and made purchases accordingly. That was cited by then as fraudulent coordination (its not) worthy of sec intervention (its not). And then those same people loaded up shorts right before they had brokerages block retail from buying? I've been saying for 3 years now that the 2020 election would be an absolute shitshow, and people said I was crazy. I said fucking six months ago that there would be so many people trying to vote in unprecedented numbers, that there would be far right terrorism surrounding the election to try and stop it, and again I was told I'm crazy. It was so fucking obvious that this shit was coming, I don't know how more didn't see it. My friend. They do this literally every election. It's like complimenting an otherwise mean kid for not being rude when the cookie jar breaks and his mom permits him to eat all the spilled cookies. Why would he act out? Federal government owns about 60% of California forests. Obama put up the cages as 48 hour holding for unaccompanied minors who were to be sent to shelters so that they wouldn't have to be homeless in border towns. Trump did an around the table vote by hand to turn them into punitive family separation. The Iran cash was their money frozen in our bank accounts agreed to be made liquid again if they let us in to inspect their sites regularly. Go look up how the right reacted to obamas handling of ebola and compare it to the defenses now of covid first being a hoax then being no big deal then being an unfortunate fact of life. And yet in their years and decades of complaining how rigged elections are, including two where they won despite losing the popular vote, Republicans have yet to show any actual evidence of vote fraud. Then sit down and shut the **** up and never speak up if you don't like things exactly the way they like it. You're not entitled to health care, if you're not religious you're dead to them, if you're not straight you're an abomination that should burn in hell so why should you have civil rights? When cities are full of orphaned children they won't send a dime to help them and will take to the streets if someone dares try to raise their taxes, will vote to cut taxes so less money goes to social services, but picket abortion clinics to try and intimidate and shame disadvantaged mothers into having children they don't have the means to raise. Then they'll call those children animals when their lives are filled with crime and empty of opportunity but care more about the fact that people are kneeling during football games then needlessly dying in the streets. And if there's a pandemic all that matters is their comfort and money and screw everyone else.
