Just a few generations ago, only 4/5s of households had a car. Now it's common for households to have two and fewer than 9% of American households are without a car (which, considering how many people live in cities with excellent public transit, can also come down to choice)This is true. I have also read some Thomas Sowell books. I do think people have tighter finances tho, as the housing is more expensive. But that's largely because of a handful of policies. Zoning laws, lowering the interest rate perpetually, foreign purchases. I think if the right choices are made that would easily turn around. But people would fight it because existing home owners want to sell their homes at high prices. But IMO, it's a bit unfair, and also kind of bad for everyone as it makes moving very difficult for existing he owners as well. --- Thank you for playing. Yes. I am number one! |

Just related to rising cost of living/lower quality of living compared to previous generations. Mostly around housing cost But there is cool new cheap stuff as well. Cool technology, innovation.
