After you've listened to enough of them, you can tell which ones have a chance at being potentially real and which ones are just wannabe writers, who watch too many movies, sharing their shitty horror short stories. Here's a tip for you geniuses out there submitting your "true" stories: When people are genuinely recalling instances from their past, they don't word it like they're writing a fucking YA novel. And lemme guess how the story goes: You met a creepy person out in public one day and they followed you home because you can see them smiling at you from outside your window. Or, or you just so happen to turn the news on at that very moment and there's the face of that creep you saw a week ago in trouble for something else. Lucky you. Why do I listen to this shit? And that's where the whole divide comes in: The first album have their two best songs. Period. Everything else is mediocre. Moreover, the second album have a bunch of consistently good songs, however none of them are as good as RtG and DDG. Yes. I've put a lot of thought into this. EmbraceOfDeath posted... Eh. The majority of it is an adventure-a-week type show that have the benefit of follow a much smaller cast of character, making the whole thing feel a lot more focused overall. It reminds me of the original Dragonball series in that way. Meanwhile, Z is extra bloated, it feels like the writers are going entirely by ear with the story arcs and not to mention all the side characters that the show itself constantly forgets about. Is this just a case of "The original guy didn't work on it, therefore, it's automatically bad"? --- |
