The brigandine is a layered metal plate armor studded to cloth on the outside. Sometimes the outer layer was leather, however the plate armor underneath was the protection, not the leather, not the studding. --- |

Get one of those and a reasonable boss, you can get away with murder. when i was at boeing there was a guy on another team that worked 6 AM to 9:30, would leave from 9:30 until about 2 PM, then come in and work until about 7. basically he wanted management to always see him there early and late. he got a bunch of quick promotions until he actually had to do work, then sort of sputtered out. --- |

The only fast food within 15 miles growing up was a single Dairy Queen and all of our gas stations were named after people (e.g. larry's chevron, Ed's Texaco and Glen's Station (a BP)).
