Discord. She originally joined my server for emotes, but a few months in she started chatting in the server because the LGBT one she normally spent time in was beginning to get shitty. Over time we simply grew closer and talked a lot more -- math in particular, since we both love it. Things grew increasingly awkward until a sort of breaking point, and we've been going on a year and change now.

You really should, it's one of my favorite SNES titles. All three are great, but IMO Terranigma is the peak of them.

There are three SNES games - Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma. They're loosely connected in thematic senses and made in similar styles by the same devs.

Interestingly, during development, Illusion of Gaia was titled "Soul Blazer: Illusion of Gaia." Similarly, during its development, Terranigma was titled "Illusion of Gaia 2." (Or was it Time? Either way.) So in a sense each game was literally developed as a sequel to the previous - though it's more in the same way as Final Fantasy games tend to be sequels of each other, you won't need to play the prior games to enjoy any given one.

Yeah, queer is sort of a gray area. Its use has changed over the past decade or two some, at least in my experience. I'm not 100% sure what it means now though.

I do think that asking for sexual orientation might be a bit of a red flag for legal/discrimination reasons, but based on having options for the other stuff it might be fine? I don't know, I'm not a lawyer lmao.

Reminds me of my category theory course in undergrad. It was originally on the standard A/B/C/D/F scale, but about halfway through the semester the prof changed it so that 80-100 was an A, 60-80 was a B, 40-60 was a C, 20-40 was a D, and 0-20 was an F. (C was passing.) It was a hard course but damn I didn't expect something like that to be necessary.

There might be some formalization that at least looks like what OP wants, but I'm not sure how it follows from what he stating. Maybe it'd help if he explained intuitively how he came to that "axiom"? (I'm hesitant to use the word here since that implies it's true, but no doubt there'd be a countexample function.)

It varies. Touchdown or a clear funnel cloud is an obvious cause for a warning, but these can be hard to find at night or when the tornado is rain-wrapped. If radar has some strong indicators of one (e.g. circulating air, unusual wind speeds, a debris cloud, a so-called "hook echo"), a warning might be issued for those reasons, just in case one is there that no one has spotted. Better safe than sorry.

Based on his profile pic on Discord, I would wager a guess it's Gourgeist.

He was in my server, and a good few of the members there are really upset by this news as well. A lot of people there enjoyed talking with him and how he would sometimes even try to help them despite the situation he was in. A lot of people - between GameFAQs, Discord, and his readers alike - are going to miss him.

May he rest in peace.

Normally with Discords it's easier to limit oneself to only the decent people here; Error did an okay job of keeping out the worst shitlords, IMO. The server was pretty cool in its earlier days and way more active.

Would be nice if that activity was maintained though. But oh well, shit happens I guess.

Nah, there's plenty of active Discords out there with decent standards. There are whole sites dedicated to advertising servers, so that's usually a place where people start getting members. (Though it tends to take a while to get any sizable number of them regardless: took me like a year to get around 500 but now I get 200-300 a month. Growth is somewhat exponential.)

Being partnered doesn't really mean anything nowadays though, since it's largely based on whether you meet certain activity benchmarks, so meh.

Oh, wow. I have you tagged as being from the same place I am, so that's gotta be super rough.

Yeah, still pretty deep in the closet, and I'm in a situation where I probably can't move away from my family for a while yet.

Granted I know how said family would feel if I did come out. So my running plan is basically to move away when I can, do it from a distance, and basically tell them to fuck off if the expected happens. At least by then I'll be self sufficient and can transition and date without having to hear from them.

Though I suppose my sister would be someone I wouldn't cut off. She at one point identified as bi, so while she has kinda fallen towards the religious side of things, I think she'd be okay with it.
