It feels like, in the long run, I'd want at least two characters of the main four elements at a good state so I can balance them between two Abyss teams, plus some useful generalists like Venti or Traveler to fill out the roster. That's a lot of characters to keep up with though. And until I rolled Mona recently, Barbara was my only hydro character, and she doesn't do anything but heal, so she barely counts. I don't really get how people end up with solid teams in the end.

mm yeah that seems like prolly the best idea, I do think I like Fischl more than Razor, so I'll prolly have him in while sprinting around the world collecting and shit, but Fischl for actual combat.

I was more looking into like... what to build for(EG: one phys DPS, one Elemental, one to only use skills, one healer) or w/e type concepts than a tier list. Like I wasn't sure if it'd be making sense to use both Xinyan and Ning as DPS on the same team because sometimes I need constant elemental damage, and sometimes constant physical. Looks like that's not really something needed tho, so that's good to know. As is the entire "oh you should prolly have two of one element", because before I was thinking it made sense to have 1 of each.

Xinyan, Razor, Ningguang, and Barbara/Xingqui would be the team I'd work on first. Xiangling to get double Pyro buffs. Fischl is great, too, but prioritize 4 characters you enjoy playing with while getting 1 or 2 to max level whenever you can. Once you hit AR40-45 is when you can really start dumping your resources into a 2nd team since it is a loooooooong grind to AR50.

Ah, I didn't realize that the need for a second team was that far away.

Oh I'm using Xinyan as a main DPS, I don't care if she's not an optimal choice(her C1+getting lots of crits is just so much fun with fast sword swings). I do need a second for my second team, and I'm leaning Razor there, but Ning is also tempting for that role(tho right now, her damage seems to be way worse than Fischl/Xinyan when auto attacking, I've mostly used her wall to block, and she has some burst when she's got her ult up)

What's the rules for destroying the prisms that spawn when you've nearly killed the Hypostatis people? It seems elemental damage is needed, but Ning's normal attack isn't always damaging them for me.

What's actually good for me to spend resin on at AR25, now that I've finished up the event?

I would be focused on planning out your ascension materials. If you're situated for your current level, start preparing your team for 30 by killing the elemental bosses (cubes, etc) and running weapon domains. If you have all those covered, you can look into talent materials, too. Don't forget talents exist!

But don't blow resources on things you don't need. It's easy to fill like "it'd be nice" to start improving a bunch of other characters, and that's a Bad Idea (tm). You will need those resources. When in doubt, you can go always go back to leylines, though I wouldn't do the blue ones until they start giving you Hero's Wit.

Character level matters less compared to artifact level at a certain point (probably past 60?), so that's tricky to answer. That said, you can definitely start right now, and you get rewards for the lower levels. But only levels 9+ are repeatable.

Is there a good resource for finding where to get ascension material btw? I've got people I want to ascend, but I don't have the mats, and I'm not sure what the best guide for that is.

You should be able to right now. Is the event on your wheel thing, where you can choose to Wish, go to the map, your inventory, etc. The event should be the one at 9oclock.

I needed to finish the second quest mission, that's what I was missing.

Feel free to ask for tips. Depending on how long you intend to play, there are things you can definitely do (or not do) to set yourself up for less grief later. Notably, start using your resin as soon as you open up leylines...AR 8, I believe.

Oh this is good to know, I've not done that. I got AR 7, and then I did the gliding quest thing. Will do that next.
