It crashed in the Indian Ocean. They've found pieces of it. The pilot committed suicide and brought everyone else along for the ride. He had one of those really expensive flight sims in his home, and he had a flight sim that he had been practicing that skirted the radar of various air control locations, and had the plane slam down into the ocean. The ocean current patterns matched up around where he would have crashed, and the locations and time of the scraps of plane they found.

There's no mystery, no "kidnapping", just a suicidal guy. The only question is why he did it, and no one will ever know that.

Anyone can make a nuke, really. You can google and find schematics for one in seconds. The hard part is gaining access to the refined materials needed. Even that isn't a large technological feat, just one of cost and availability of the raw materials.

A gun controlled by an artificial intelligence, from a satellite? That's a tiny bit more complex.

Jesus Christ. Okay, assuming the protag gets their Sentinel, this is tough. If Isaac can hack or otherwise control the sentinel via futuristic robot shenanigans, he solos. If he can't, than the question becomes can Alara, Talla, and Isaac bring down the sentinel before it wipes them? Probably not, but it would be a hell of a show.

Wow, this is the first one of these in a long, long time that actually presented a fantasy fight that I'd like to see.

I've heard variations of this being talked about by rednecks in bars and such, and they actually have an answer to this, at least they think they do.

Require a high school deploma to obtain a gun permit, GED's being barred. Should that not "get it under control" as I've heard it put, require a college diploma because, quote, "I'd be fucked but at least my kids would have guns".

Never heard them try to figure out how this would work with the second amendment, but you don't eavesdrop on rednecks to find sage advice, only a good laugh. Though, it might actually be worth seeing happen, if only for the complete mindfuck of watching conservatives fight against the second amendment, and democrats fight for it.
