Eh, they most likely needed some help from Marvelous in the end since the game features english and japanese voice acting.

VAs aren't cheap so the price actually seems a bit low to me since I expected it to be a full-price game.

Anybody else excited for Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin?

Looks like a pretty interesting mashup of 2-d sidescrolling action-platformer and farming sim.

The game releases on Nov 10, which is pretty close. What's more the game is $40 for the base game, and the special collection with the artbook, music cds, and extras stuff is $60 which is basically just a regular full game price.

And I found out that the low price was thanks to the fact that it was developed by only TWO people. Which is pretty insane given just how polished and feature-full the game looks.

Kinda feel bad that it's release is so close to other big games so I'm afraid that it'll get overshadowed. So I wanted to give it a shout out here since there wasn't any big news about this game floating around.

Speaking seriously though, I do understand the need for the Nintendo Online sub and even the Pokemon Home sub.

I just don't think that Home should be priced like that. Bank on the 3ds only costs like $5 for one year, and you don't even need Nintendo Online to use it. Home should have really been like $10 at the most.

But even then, I would still have bought the whole thing if it wasn't compounded by the fact that they locked content behind a season pass.

Just everything added together didn't feel right to me so I didn't get it. I would rather not play a game at all than play a game knowing I'm getting a gimped/inferior version.

3ds still has local trading, but Nintendo has stated that they have no plans on shutting down the 3ds's servers anytime soon.

Man, I really REALLY don't like how the newest pokemon game has hidden fees attached in order to properly play it or use certain features.

Like there a sale for the base game right now, where it's only $40, so I thought, "now's a good time to buy it!"

But then you have to consider that you need a Nintendo Online subscription to trade pokemon and have online battles so add $20 to that.

Then you also need a Pokemon Home subscription if you want to use all of your past pokemon, so add another $16 to that.

Finally, there's the Season Pass to consider if you truly want to get all the newest pokemon and the full gameplay/story experience so you gotta fork over another $30.

That's over $100 for ONE game, and that's WITH a sale!

Say what you will about how bad Sun and Moon was, but at least you got the full game once you bought it right then and there.

Just wanted to rant a little I guess. Looks like I won't be playing anymore pokemon for the foreseeable future.

Huh.

Just noticed that Calliope Mori released all her member-only stream archives for general viewing.

According to the comments she going to do this for all member-only streams from now on, where she'll release the vod a few weeks after. That's kinda nice of her to make sure that everyone gets a chance to see it, while still making it feel special for her members.

Afaik, she's the only one who does this right? I don't know of any other vtuber who makes their member-only streams public.

Started reading Mieruko-Chan, which is about a teen girl who suddenly has the ability to see supernatural monsters all around her and decides to try ignoring them. Given that it's such a one-note gimmick, I'm kinda curious how they've managed to fill 29 chapters so far.

Really nice art. Mieruko herself is cute, which provides a more stark contrast against the monster and ghost designs. The backdrops feel a little minimalist at times, though.

It starts off one-note but it gets a lot better.

Awesome callback to one of Deku's first lines though and shows amazing growth by Bakugo.

And I doubt the mangaka will just decide to kill off his most popular character like that. He'll probably be out of commission for a while though, like Mirio. Kinda don't like how they decided to showcase Deku though. There must have been a more organic way for him to be the focus without randomly taking out his competition.

Just an FYI if you do use the password generator (the one by Paulygon) that if you want to carry over all the events you have to leave the THIRD event check box UNCHECKED.

It's the event where (dunno if you've reached this part yet but spoilers just in case) you save Hsu from underneath the boulder.

The event flag seems to be reversed in the generator so just make sure to leave it unchecked.

You could use a password generator to give yourself the missing djinn in preparation for the next game.

however, i don't understand the hell devil. it was made from the intestines of those dudes, but it was weak as s***, except then one of the dudes just gives it blood and then that brings out the fourth wall breaking six fingered hand that's also the hell devil. like what's the logic behind this devil

Oh right. I kinda mixed up that Makima had control over the japanese government instead of the american one which was the one who unleashed the gun devil.

As for the hell devil, maybe the caster and sacrifices were too weak? Or maybe the wish contract for the hell devil was to literally just drag Denji to hell so it couldn't manifest its full power?

Certainly hard to gauge the full extent of the hell devil's power, even moreso with Fujimoto's crazy writing.

I like that this chapter revealed why she didn't have proper control over Denji until just now. Since she doesn't see Denji/Chainsaw Man as her lesser. And Denji didn't think of Makima as his superior, more of an object of desire. So she had to mindbreak Denji to get control over him. Which I guess would be grounds for a big fuck you to Makima still.

I'm excited. I thought for sure the next Nintendo Warriors game would be Fire Emblem again. Glad to see they're going back to Zelda. I hope it's not just BotW though, I hope in the post game they introduce characters from other games like in the first HW. Like Skull Kid and Marin.

Dunno how much post-game there's gonna be considering everybody dies at the end lol.

Honestly, I'm not expecting this to have the same amount of content HW1 did.

From the looks of the trailer and their comments about the Zelda team working closely with Koei Tecmo, it seems like this would be a lot more focused on the whole story of the war, with not a lot of side stuff.

I'm definitely not expecting things like the Adventure Maps in HW1, but I am hoping for some good amount of other stuff to make up for it.

If you haven't played the DS version, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is pretty good. (You should get this even if you did play the DS version though)

Then there's the Mario and Luigi games. Superstar Saga, Bowser's Inside Story and Dream Team.

There's also the 5 Shin Megami Tensei games. IV, IV: Apocalypse, Strange Journey Redux. Devil Survivor: Overclocked, Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker. (Last 3 are enhanced ports of DS games)

The Etrian Odyssey games are all good. IV, 1 Untold: The Millennium Girl, 2 Untold: Fafnir Knight, and V

Then you got Monster Hunter 4U, and Monster Hunter Stories. (You can get MH Generations Ultimate on the Switch so you can skip the 3Ds version, but there's 3DS only DLC that you can transfer over onto the Switch)

There's also the 2 Dragon Quest remakes: VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past and VIII: Journey of the Cursed King.

Can't forget about all the Phoenix Wright games available on there in one place.

And finally my favorite hidden gem jrpg on the system, Stella Glow.

Honestly there's a ton more games I could recommend but I'd start here for now.

Saw it go on sale on the Switch eshop today.

Heard a lot of good things about the graphics but a lot of negative ones about the gameplay and story pacing.

Since those two things are what make or break a game for me I'd like to hear some thoughts and opinions from people who have played it.
