Even if they were things I disagree with as a REmake in RE2 remake I still think it's an absolutely fantastic game.
My main issue is the A/B was botched. At least nothing of significance was cut besides the spiders and moths

i dunno if id call it fantastic, but it was good and i liked it enough to play it through a few times

but it was really annoying to see people make a ton of excuses for its shortcomings and try to convince me that RE2 was secretly bad and this remake had been heaven sent to fix everything

also the soundtrack was way worse but w/e

11- Feardotcom. Great big fart of a movie. Someone mashed Kairo together with Se7en and the result was one of the stupidest things I've seen in awhile. Really tough to sit through.

12- 21 Days. This was a "click something random on TubiTV to watch while I eat dinner" pick and yikes is it bad. A really obviously shoestring (even more so) budget version of Paranormal Activity where everyone is hysterically screaming for most of the movie.

13- The Grudge (2004). I can't believe I thought this shit was scary in high school. What a snooze. I have to imagine Ju-On has to be better, but the US Ring is a hundred times more tolerable than this even.

14- Jack Frost (1997). Really fun super low budget bullshit that somehow I never saw before now. It's like Child's Play but waaaaaaaay stupider with some of the worst one liners I've ever heard in a movie, but it's almost charming in how stupid it is.

15- Night of the Creeps. A really enjoyable movie that never got its due at the time. Has a great pace to it and Tom Atkins steals every scene he's in

its a really weird movie, like an hour of almost nothing happening and then a 20 minute incredibly gory action sequence to top it off. but at the same time its interesting how many lower budget horror filmmakers took that and ran with it afterwords to emulate it. one that wholly holds up that always sticks out in my mind is the nutty special effects with the deadites dying after ash burns the book. it was hilariously excessive and sometimes i just watch the scene all by itself instead of bothering with the movie lol

as someone mentioned earlier, evil dead 2 feels like a second shot at evil dead 1 that ended up superior in almost every way

sorry i admit i was a little mean lol, i was legitimately just kinda blown away by that track

if you want actual criticism, repetitive trippy avant garde music can be good but you really need to work on your instrumentation very badly. i dunno if you actually played/charted anything in that song i posted but it all sort of clashed together in a way that wasn't interesting enough to carry the vocals which sound like they actually have a point where the audio drops where you put in a loop

maybe linkin park isnt the best comparison, i dunno if you've ever played hypnospace outlaw but it reminded me of one of the joke songs from that game that play in loops on peoples webpages. its actually kinda fun and kitschy, but i dont think thats what you were going for

As someone who lives in the south (and not super far from the guy in the article either), republican voters I have met generally have one or two things they care about an enormous amount that republican candidates embody. Everything else surrounding that is handled in a vague chameleon sort of way where they just assume agreement and don't look dramatically deeper than that.

Part of that is that republicans have been a party of hollow platitudes for a really long time, but it's also that liberals are really really bad at breaking apart said platitudes. People have this vague idea where they'll saying things like "taxes are better under republicans" but they're in tax brackets low enough that they are almost entirely unaffected regardless of who is in office. They'll tell you "republicans support my industry better" but then act completely confused why their scrapping business is paying them jack shit even though Trump would absolutely not shut up about how he wanted to support domestic iron/steel for awhile.

It's all stuff that could really easily be capitalized on but democrats take such a milquetoast decorum-riddled approach to conservative politicians endlessly lying because biting back at that shit would require taking a firm stand of some kind. So for the most part, shit like that is left to fester

I worked at Verizon customer service for a year and a half and its not much different. We werent told to outright do things like lie and give stuff like insurance but management leans on you to get numbers so hard that a lot of people did to avoid bad conversations about metrics during coachings. The more we interact with you the worse our stats are as well so people did things like set up callbacks outside the window where you calling again would hurt stats, or repeatedly placates people with credits instead of solving anything because its the easiest way to get you to get off the fucking phone. Also if you are crazy and scream a lot you probably have a hilarious litany of notes written about you in your customer file as well

the store people were even worse though I never worked there. Im sure the culture was what led to it as well but their job isnt just to sell you phones, they also have to get the worst tablets and hotspots to you at all cost. I would estimate something like 40% of phone calls I got were people who had gotten some piece of shit peripheral device and didnt know theyd been locked into a 2 year contract by the dude selling them it. And management are incredible hard asses about losing the contracts as well. Theres a reason why long after we stopped doing contracts for phones they were still doing it for tablets and shit, those junky Verizon tablets and hotspots are designed as low key money pots that hide on inattentive peoples bills and not much else
