Alright, I 100% completed the event yesterday afternoon and am on to farming and ranking prep!

Here's a budget ranking guide if you're just going after the fairy and/or Top 50% for the scope. It's not meant to be followed 1:1 but to give you a rough idea of what to do here. You unlock the ranking map after beating chapter 4, so don't worry about needing to clear the whole event to get to it.

Passing along some more info about The Division collab, courtesy of my usual source:

Basic info about the collab:
1) There will be 4 exclusive skins (Agent 416, Agent Vector, G&K Vector, G&K HK416), they can be purchased via real life money (Like BBGG Collab way back then) at 158 RMB (~25 USD) EACH. Each sold separately.
2) Agent Vector is a collab stage reward, while Agent 416 can be obtained via the event exchange store.
3) Agent Vector and Agent 416 each pack THREE special equipment. There is a special combat effect when all 3 are equipped.
3.1) 2 of them are collab stage rewards, 2 of them can be obtained via the event store, while the last 2 must be farmed via an event map.
4) There are a total of 5 stages per difficulty in the collab (5 in Normal, 5 in EX, 5 farming exclusive maps)

DATA MINE of Agent Vector's and Agent's 416's skill and SPEQ set effects
Agent Vector
Mobile Cover
Deploy a mobile cover ahead of self lasting for 8 seconds. The cover will have 15% of the user's Max HP and gain taunt effect after deployment.
6s Initial CD/12s CD

V SPEQ 2 equipped set effect
If there are other ally units in the same column, deploy a mobile cover in front of them too; The additional covers have the same HP and duration as the currently deployed cover.

V SPEQ 3 equipped set effect
When the cover is destroyed, grant 100% EVA and 20% damage reduction to the unit it was covering for 5 seconds.

Agent 416
Sticky Bombs
Every 8 seconds, automatically place a sticky grenade on the enemy with the highest HP, up to a maximum of 3 grenades per enemy unit. When skill is activated, detonate all sticky grenades on the field, each dealing 5x link-damage that cannot miss within an area of 1.5 units.
3s Initial CD/4s CD

416 SPEQ 2 equipped set effect
At battle start, set up 3 interspersed sticky grenades in the area ahead. When enemies approach them, they will automatically detonate and deal 50% skill damage.

416 SPEQ 3 equipped set effect
When the sticky grenades explode, they cause an additional area disruption effect, reducing the ACC and EVA of enemy units within range by 50%.

Anyone else see those Division/Urban combat skins? Idk if thta'd be considered spoilers since its on the asian servers... but I'll tag it anyways.

Vector getting a Cleaner skin is so on point and it looks like we'll be getting skins for our TDolls and Agents with their own skin? Double 416/Vector echelons?

Yeah, but apparently the skins are anything but cheap. Like the Guilty Gear collab, they cost real money directly instead of gems or tokens but unlike the GG collab, all four skins are the same price: $25 (when converted from CNY/RMB). Yikes! I'm going to pass on that and just get the dolls and equipment instead.

In the current QnA, the rep did confirm that we're getting this collab, The Division, as our next big event. I imagine it will arrive in January or February. Speaking of which, I need to read up on the QnA and see if there's anything I missed.

Speaking of story, I have a question regarding Gr G11 that's probably *HUGE SPOILERS* about her

I was looking at G11's wiki to see what her MODIII does, and made my way down to the comments. Someone said that she's an illegally modified civilian doll?

Reading up on Squad 404's neural upgrade stories tells you a bit about their past (except UMP45's backstory, which was mostly covered in Deep Dive). The relevant one you want is 416's mod story and G11's once EN gets Dual Randomness.

To answer your question directly, yes, she is an illegally modified civilian A-Doll.

We won't get another day map for ranking until Dual Randomness, which is two major events after SC. At that point, a lot of things will be different: dedicated farming maps, multiple layer maps, multiple ranking maps with different objectives, etc. Until then, it's night maps for SC and Polarized Light.

We're pretty close to catching up to where Sunborn wants us to be with CN, so we just may see our first ranking map rerun next year (i.e. Arctic Warfare+).

How many echelons should we use for the ranking map? I have eight (four open, four logistics) to use, but could always get some more if that's what it takes.

You want to throw all the echelons you can at it. All 10 is ideal but I'm pretty confident you can get away with less if you're just aiming for the fairy or the scope. I'm also sure someone will upload a sample budget run for you to follow.

From the ranking echelon recommendations, about half will be nighttime AR+SMG+HG teams, a few RF+HG teams for Paradeus enemies, and a special echelon or two for the bosses. You'll have to experiment on how to cut that down to fewer echelon slots and find what works for you.

I'll post the ranking prep guides again:
https://bit.ly/35KXHKO
https://tinyurl.com/y2n2djdg

Ceia's guides for the event are being uploaded onto YT right now --
Shattered Connexion guides will be uploaded progressively when the maintenance starts.
I did mention 1 SL10 Taunt Fairy to be compulsory for a full clear, even at Normal difficulty. Else you'll have trouble with taking out a certain railgun on a train at Chapter 5 of the event.
Good luck, everyone~

Ranking event reward charts are up. I highly recommend going for at least one Beach Fairy; she's really good for fighting deathstacks when you want to plow through them and getting 300k+ points should be doable for most players. Lee-Enfield's scope is really nice to have but not a necessity (she has slightly better DPS than M14 mod).

Like the rest of the event, the ranking map has two difficulty versions. The normal map has easier enemies but a lower maximum score ceiling, around 800k or so, while the EX/hard version has tougher enemies but a much higher score ceiling, 1 million+. If you're just aiming for the 300k fairy prize, please consider taking on the EX version because you can accrue points faster that way and be done sooner. Likewise, aiming for the Top 50% bracket or better for Lee-Enfield's scope or extra Beach Fairies is easier to accomplish on the EX map than on the normal map for the same reason.

I wish all challengers of the ranking map the best of luck in your attempts!

I have it; it's what I have set up as my adjutant. You can get an idea of where Kalina's affection level is by reading her comment when you enter the shop. Use this to see what comments she adds to the pool at which affection levels. Kalina cycles through her unlocked comments at random.

This guide also tells you what rewards you can get from "Kalina's Daily Gift of Thanks," chosen at random when the e-mail is sent to you. Having high affection with Kalina will unlock a few things here.

My guess is that it will go live on EN somewhere between Shattered Connexion and Polarized Light next year. Collab events are a little too big to combine with normal major story events and I'm pretty sure we'll get either a re-run of last year's Christmas event or something similar that will start at the tail end of SC. After that, it will be January and we'll have our next general rate-up. All in all, I'm guessing the collab will come to EN in January or February 2021.

Aside from KSVK's skin, you can get 1 each of free, 5*, pre-max calibrated HP ammo and HV ammo, a piece of the Commander's Halloween costume set, a copy of the Silent Hill nurse furniture that was given last year, a repeat of icons, combat reports, cheesecake, and 100 tokens. I didn't think of it when I posted the roadmap but the neural upgrade batch this time should be:

416, UMP9, Hanyang Type88, and MP5

https://en.gfwiki.com/wiki/HK416
https://en.gfwiki.com/wiki/UMP9
https://en.gfwiki.com/wiki/Hanyang_Type_88
https://en.gfwiki.com/wiki/MP5

The first two are story-based while Hanyang was confirmed in a previous QnA. It's unlikely that MP5 won't be included but we have been surprised before.

Out of the mods, waifu factor aside, the order of priority is: Hanyang, 416, and MP5. You can safely skip UMP9's mod unless you have an excess of memory fragments because she doesn't really bring much to the table.

-416 mod is useful for running 12-4e, our next major EXP/core farming map (600 base EXP and the same, if not slightly better, core rate as 10-4e, you can corpse drag it, and AFK farm it, like 0-2, in one turn per run). She's also not a bad grenadier but doesn't dethrone Soppo in most cases. Mod 2 should be sufficient but SC will give out Fire Control Component's, so it's up to you how far you want to upgrade her. Her mod 3 gives her a headband that replaces a 5* X-exo and gives some bonus crit damage.

-Hanyang mod is great for a lot of applications. She looks like a Gundam and now fires laser beams! It's highly recommended you get this mod if you have Hanyang lying around. You will probably want her at mod 3 for her special equipment.

-MP5 mod 2 becomes a pretty decent tank with her upgrade, thanks to both her ability to buff RFs as well as ARs and she self-buffs her evasion after her force field expires. If you're running HG/RF teams in the future, you'll want her around to protect the team. You'll still want to grab her special exoskeleton from 4-4n if you haven't, as that seriously buffs her evasion. You don't need to upgrade her to mod 3 to get her best because her mod 3 equipment isn't useful on her.

-I really don't recommend upgrading UMP9 unless you really want to but, if you do it, mod 2 will suffice. Her mod 3 special equipment doesn't really give her anything useful.

The Freaky Pandemic event should be the same as last year. If you've cleared it already, I don't think you can get the stage clear rewards again but you should be able to relax and farm the vouchers to clear the store and maybe a doll drop or two, depending on what gets announced. The silhouette is KSVK's Michael Jackson skin.

https://en.gfwiki.com/wiki/File:KSVK_costume2.png

It's great that CT will finally be added to the Campaign tab. Ch. 3's map "A New Hope" is still cancer and arguably the worst map Mica has ever created. At least Python will be permanently farmable for those who don't have her.

With Shattered Connexion's release in November, that should mean we'll get Polarized Light next year around March or so.

Apparently, Rico is the best unit out of the bunch. I think she got high praise in the rifle category on the CN server. I'll have to test her out myself once I get her skill leveled up.

I'm just grinding New Fork EX for medals and my daily shop vouchers. After I have all the medal items I want, I'll dial it back to just the vouchers and go back to my normal grind to prep for Shattered Connexion's ranking map.

It's a lot easier than it looks. You have to step on all the radar nodes to activate the gimmick that gets rid of the Dragoons and then surround capture the enemy base. The boss never moves but you do need to be careful of the red beans and any enemies moving to cap your base. Use enemy aggro to your advantage to keep the beans away and kill the mooks.

If you know who is being targeted by the rifle guys, you can retreat your doll when you hear the "click" of them prepping their skillshot and they end up missing. That saved my butt a few times back there.

All done with the event except for farming! I finished all the maps and mini-games.

Those last two puzzle maps were really easy; I deployed three Parachute Fairies and just skipped all the enemies and node nonsense on That Which Must Be Protected EX II. Everything else was simple enough to figure out.

I know, right? The dudes with rifles are reskinned SWAP Jaegers, so that explains why they're so dangerous. I'm not sure about what the other enemies are reskins of yet.

Just a heads-up but there have been complaints of inaccuracies regarding the guides due to the fact that Mica Team made several unexpected changes to the event for its EN release. Please adapt accordingly if you're using the guides.

For Map 2, your run may look different than mine unless you reset till you get the exact RNG seed that i have here. Adapt and lock out the red beans from moving if needed.

(I heard you can use the Parachute Fairy for the puzzles if you have at least two with SL10 but I wasn't paying enough attention to the guides above to see if that strat was covered)

So no tokens in the bundle. That's a bummer! I guess I'll go with what skins I can buy then.

And the maintenance list:

Take a look at item 14 on page 2! 100 tokens for a 200 gem discount with some extra goodies thrown in! Too bad you can only buy 10 but that's a nice deal. My funds for this sort of thing are limited, so I'm torn between using my gems for the costumes or for this bundle.

Looks like the extra rescue dolls are UKM-2000, R93, and CZ-75 this time. I could use an extra R93.

Anyone have a good explanation for M950A 2nd skill. I finally got around to upgrading her to MOD2.

M950A's 2nd skill has two effects; the one that activates depends on the node you do battle on with her echelon (one or the other).

  1. If the node you fight on is under your control (blue), she created 3 green circles in a column in front of your team that slows down enemies moving through it for up to 6 seconds.
  2. If the node you fight on is not controlled by you (enemy captured or neutral), she slightly boosts all allies' rate of fire for up to 5 seconds and also boosts all non-handgun dolls' movement speed up to the level of a handgun for up to 60 seconds (makes kiting with rifles and machine guns a breeze since they can now move at a decent speed).
Since 6* mods are really expensive, you don't need to go past mod2 for Calico. Her mod3 special equipment is essentially an upgraded suppressor, so it's your call if that is worth the extra fragments, cores, exp, and Fire Control Components.

lol @ playing 24 hours a day
Even as hyperbole, that's ridiculous.

That's the general desire of most game makers that operate on a freemium model. The more time you spend in the game, the more likely you are to open your wallet. It's the same psychological framework that retail stores operate on.

An English translation of the interview with Yuzhong, CEO of Sunborn and head of Mica Team.
https://medium.com/@godemperoryuzhong/interview-of-girls-frontline-producer-yuzhong-4-games-at-the-same-time-how-can-we-make-bf607d2e8d9a

With one setting, four games and three art styles, Yuzhong hopes that the variety of art styles will help somewhat in bringing the GFL series to more people than the core loyal players of GFL. Towards this basis, Sunborn has tried to cut the amount of time players spend playing.

When Yuzhong first started making games in 20142015*, the games that he was exposed to had the philosophy of trying to have players play the game for as long as possible. It would be best if the players were playing the game 24 hours a day. But today, even when Yuzhong himself plays mobile games, it feels like a chore to spend 1020 mins clearing dailies, so when making his own games, Yuzhong is starting to try making game time more fragmented.

Of course thats beneficial to us too. If you control the time a player spends playing a single game well enough, there is a higher possibility that they will play more of your games without having to spend too much of their time. Of course, when it comes to major events and stories, we still want to provide the ol immersive gaming experience to the players. With our new projects, the players will have more choice.

That explains some of the changes to GFL, like the new dailies.

Once bosses begin two kilometers away and start sniping you, my interest wanes a bit. Maybe I should break out that Taunt Fairy.

Fighting Dreamer or something? If the boss is that far away, you'll want to close that gap as fast as you can. The Taunt Fairy is as slow as a rifle with a cape on, so keep that in mind. If you have Calico M950A at mod2 with a good level on skill 2, she can temporarily boost the team's movement speed to the level of a handgun (if you're fighting on a node you don't control). I don't think the skill affects the Taunt drone though.

I should really get around to doing night battle farming again. In the campaign, I'm up to (I think) M16's special armor and still need some of those UMP exos from whatever event they came in. Doing boring grinds so close to the collab might lead to burnout, though...

If you know it would burn you out, it's probably not a good idea. Besides, it's not like any of the special equipment is really needed over the generic equipment; it's all only contextually necessary for the most part and several pieces have little, if any, value outside of collecting everything.

Springfield's AP ammo - only needed if you want to run Springfield and she's far from the best option for a rifle
M1918 BAR's chip - purely for collection purposes; a generic 5* Ammo Box is much better on her
AR-15's HV ammo - only needed if you want to min-max AR-15, as it's just a slight upgrade over generic 5* HV Ammo, but arguably worth going after
MP5's exo - needed to make MP5 viable but there are many better options for a main tank
Mosin-Nagant - needed to make Mosin-Nagant viable, along with her mod3 equipment; overall, Mosin-Nagant is very expensive to get up and running and there are better options for rifles
M16's special suit - only really needed to make 0-2 grinding a little easier and for a few niche situations outside of that; you can easily get by with just a 5* Armor Plate but it's arguably worth the trouble
MG3's Ammo Box - collection only
FAMAS' sight - collection only
Stechkin's Buttstock - While it does improve Stechkin's performance, she has mostly fallen off the meta as a RoF buffer
TAR-21 - mostly just for collection; TAR-21 isn't a bad AR but there are now a lot of better choices and more coming down the line
UMP special exo - a generic 5* T-Exo is just as good, cheaper to max out, and easier to get; only really needed if you're planning to send out UMP40 and she's really niche
416's scope - brings 416 up to Soppo's pre-mod level and only useful in day battles but arguably worth getting for 12-4e grinding

If anything, there's auto-battle. It's horribly inefficient and expensive on the resources but it's an option if you don't want to grind manually. A few of my friends who play this game take this route because they hate grinding in general. If you take that route, you should consider getting an Auto-Battle Pass from the Shop. That way, you can do two stages at once, deploy only 1 echelon each, and can run a map up to 5 times in a row instead of 3.

I've almost caught up on the normal chapters' special equipment drops. I got TAR-21's earphones from 10-4n and now I just need a couple more Stechkin Buttstocks for my Stechkin dupes. After that, I think I'll knock out the extra 416 scope from Singularity and then I'll be done with all special equipment, save for what's left at the Black Market.

A sneak peak of Advanced in Theater season 5. Not Core 8 but Advanced 8; just by looking at this, you know Core 8 will be a nightmare. And yeah, SWAP armored SF units... >_>

https://youtu.be/aiJW1cwd3bc

A sample run of what you will be facing in Theater Season 5 Advanced 8.
The new KCCO tanks that were introduced in Polarized Light will be trouble for any echelon type, I found out that General Liu will screw up its backline targeting mechanic - forcing them to target the clones behind her instead. However, you can only encounter that node once maximum, else your main echelon's backline will start losing links.
Also, SWAP Brutes/Strikers combo as well as SWAP Nemeums, fun. Fortunately, 2B nukes them to hell and back.
