The entire goal of winning is to appeal to moderate swing voters who might choose to vote for the other guy. Appealing to your base is pointless. They'll vote for you even if you stand for none of the stuff they claim is important to them. That's what makes them your base. Trump didn't best Clinton because she failed to get Democratic voters. She won every Democratic state just fine, she even got more total votes, however she lost swing states. Plus, I think you're ignoring the fact that OoT was delayed for years and that other companies that "beat OoT to it" in regards to things like lock-on targeting might have got the idea in the first place FROM the Zelda 64 prototype footage. (Not sure at which point the lock-on targeting was first shown in previews, but it probably was before MML's release.)

So some strings have been found indicating that the three spells in the final version of OoT are indeed linked to the medallion items seen equipped in beta screenshots. Hence why the Fire Medallion is shown on the pedestal in front of the Shadow Temple.

And Naryu's Love is linked to Spirit, not Water.

And there is an ice spell in the data complete with the effects and a damage value associated with it.

And with this in mind, a new theory has come about.

The Forest Temple was supposed to be the Wind Temple and have wind themed puzzles with the Hover Boots in them. And the Shadow Temple and Bottom of the Well were supposed to be one. With the Lens of Truth being the Shadow Temple's item. AND that the Water Temple was supposed to be the Ice Temple.

The main evidence they point to is Ganon's Castle, which seems to have been designed earlier on. (One of the original concepts was that the whole game was going to take place in Ganon's Castle as one big megadungeon. Not to mention a lot of early screenshots and videos in Ganon's Castle.) Ganon's Castle has a room or two for each temple.

The second Forest Temple room is wind themed and uses the Hover Boots instead of anything that actually resembles the Forest Temple. (They slapped in the Wolfos in the first room to represent the final version, I guess.)

The Water Temple rooms are based off of the Ice Cavern (already long suspected to be a watered down version of a scrapped dungeon) and not the Water Temple.

The Shadow Temple room can be cheesed in many ways, but you're SUPPOSED to use the Lens of Truth.

Furthermore, the Forest Medallion looks more wind than tree themed, and the Water Medallion looks like a snowflake.

And some suspect the Light Temple would have been like the final Forest Temple. Hero's Bow, "not theme specific".

And MM's Swamp Spider House and Ikana Bottom of the Well are in the OoT source. Not too surprising since MM is like 40% OoT assets.

First of all, preserving the meaning of words is indeed important. Pedophilia is very much defined as specifically targeting prepubescent children.
