Its not actually the same, assuming the parents even know what a SNES mini is, kids at this age are very ingrained to touch screen interface versus handheld controls. Plus, they see everyone else around them using tablets and want to be like their parents and family, etc. I think that tablets are kind of overshadowing handheld controls for this age group and it takes a very different set of cognitive ability and fine motor control to use a tablet versus controller.

Right, the dad is a SAHD, he's not working from home. The mom is the one who would be busy with and not be watching her son.

I still don't agree, though. When checking up on the kid, dad would just see him playing Sonic on the iPad. Unless he was carefully watching, it could be difficult to realize he was spending real money. I don't think letting a kid play games on an iPad is inherently bad parenting, and I don't think having the tech knowledge to discern when microtransactions ae happening is innate.

I think the parents messed up, but I don't think they're bad parents or bad people.

Like obviously it wasn't great, but not everybody knows about child security settings and would think to prepare for microtransactions in an Apple store game. A lot of people aren't that tech savvy to even think about something like this, let alone know how to prevent it.

Forgive me for going against the sacred rule of the tiebreaker and not waiting for people to chime in but I feel this is necessary.

Both Tange and IGCD coming out of absolutely nowhere to go on the anti-Red lynch again is sickening me that I almost let this happen by acting on impulse. I usually tighten up a lot at the end of the day because I know better. They were doing nothing but waiting for a special to join onto. Not contributing at all. There's reason to believe they were even there. If either of them are town, they disgust me.

Alright, so I'm looking back at the end of day and reviewing. Crescent was killed; I would say her death makes the two people she tagged at the end of day a bit more suspicious. Not that literally anybody has town leans on either of these players, currently, but figured it's worth adding to the pile.

DYL has read like his self to me for most of day 1 and I don't think any arguments I read ever persuaded me much to distrust him so I don't think he's a great choice, but not a total waste like some others would be, thanks to how much activity surrounded him today.

Chris would be a spicey meme but not a ton more useful, I think, unless someone just blows us all away with an amazing actual case beyond "F 2020"

dowolf is kind of an interesting option. my notes say popping in offering to vote ben was a bit head-turny, voted HB because he didn't like HB's vote on plum, and was seemingly unaware that he was buddied up to by death (allegedly according to scare)

dowolf, can you summarize the situation with reasonings of you voting HB?

also Scare did you ever answer what the alleged buddying was supposed to be?

Scare himself I just don't think is a logical choice today? I felt he came in with a lot of energy and was like, paying attention and dunking on DYL reasoning and stuff. And he is a very useful player when town so probably has earned time

Han could be a choice. I normally am erring on the side of being too distracted by whatever Han is up to but this game he didn't really make my notes aside from mentioning suspicion on Aecioo and giving plum permission to lynch him. I suppose I should revisit Lea's case because I think she was the one who was hounding Han right?

death has made me laugh at least twice this game so I hereby declare him to be town. just kidding, but I want him to be because I liked how he also was confused by Crescent's "gotcha" moment regarding Ben early on. his style is kind of summary-like in nature so I have a tendency to get to the end of his post and not really have taken anything away from it regarding him. I see some rumblings for a death lynch but he wouldn't be one of my first choices for day 1.

stan I could vote for. I have a couple notes of scum pings on him, and I know he's been around enough to not be really considered close to an idler. Early on he made a post about filing something away and it read kind of manufactured to me in the moment. And later I noticed him doing a thing I tend to associate with scum posturing which was popping into a conversation just to clarify something. I can dig up the post number if needed.

ben is a heart pick for town for me, however a potential valid choice for day 1 lynch because he had a good deal of spotlight early so we may be able to really put the game under the microscope quickly with his flip.

and that leaves red. I know I am probably missing some pretty relevant content regarding red whilst I write up this post but I don't think red's the best idea for today. He reciprocated my read of his demeanor basically, which well I guess of course one would do that but still. He seems sincere to me and again he's a useful player that I think has earned a day 1 pass.

For now having looked over my post probably either dowolf, han, or stan?

Nothing really stands out in topic 1, though Crescent did ask him why his vote was still on Ben if he wasn't feeling her argument about him. Doesn't give much of an answer.

Topic 2 he talks a bit more(#145). Says he has a good feeling about Scare, town read on hb, doesn't outright call me a town read but agrees with Han that I'd be a bad lynch. Finds himself agreeing with plum, and a comment about Chris and Ben. So at least some talk of his town reads there.

No posts on topic 3. Topic 4(#30) he has the following he doesn't want lynched.

I feel like if DYL is scum Puns isn't, but if DYL is town Puns scum equity spikes. Puns thinks he is the baddest b**** in the yard, no way is he not getting involved on red/dyl at all if dyl is scum, especially with the knowledge that red was shooting some blanks (in regards to at least me) so his post death word wouldn't be gospel. On the other hand that useless splinter on dowolf looks rather poor for a puns who likes to do his best to be present in the topic if DYL is in fact town.

@DYL: I personally don't think that looking at red13n's votes will give you a ton of information. Dude legitimately didn't look that great because he wasn't really trying until the end of day. Then when he started looking alright, he dragged out his claim knowing that b8 won't unvote a dude who doesn't claim. At least, they wouldn't back when I used to play. Plus, Chris pushed for him for a really long time and he's Chris.

FWIW, I can see red saying what he is saying rn as town with the flavor, no role claim. But, unless a lot has changed in the last 5 years, I can't imagine a b8 town letting someone off the hook like that without a role claim.
