The vast majority of Republicans argued that Trump is a victim and that its everyone's fault but his. Blame Pelosi, blame BLM, blame Antifa. It's a joke.

The impeachment is hollow without a conviction, as are McConnell's recent words.

This is pretty much the ultimate "test of character" for him. He crosses into the realm of irredeemable if he blows this one. They need his support to have any chance.
