As someone that watches NASCAR, there is logic to their calls, the flow chart starts with "are they on one of the big teams like Hendrick, Penskey, or Gibbs?" Then it goes from there. They regularly screw over smaller names if they can to get a big name a win.

The NFL meanwhile the only consistency people can find is Brady having a horse shoe up his ass to protect from bad calls.
