Looking at it from the outside (which is almost bu default from the left) Biden seems much, much more friendly to progressives than Hillary, and he also has a comprehensive climate plan for the first time. He seems like a significant step up from the typical Democratic offering despite still being not good in a vacuum.

And frankly hell do good on climate alone.

I suppose it depends, but imo, follow-up: sequel, main game. Miles Morales isnt that. People dont call Infamous First Light the follow up to Second Son for instance. When I read that I imagine something similar in scope.

No they aren't, but they probably want people to think that. It's a stand-alone expansion, and there's a reason they have been trying to obscure that fact. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of upset people on launch day!

Breath of the Wild.

The Medium, Tetris Effect: Connected, and Scorn are the (console) exclusive launch titles. Its probably still a better launch lineup than the PS5 but not a killer app among them. They are also going to launch with 40 optimised Xbox One games and a bunch of cross-gen games. All the exclusives will be on game pass, and thats how theyre selling it.

What was the last really major non-Nintendo launch game? ...Halo 1? Big launch games arent really a thing for Xbox and Playstation. This game was supposed to change that but I guess not any more...

Terminator.

I feel most big franchises have at least one good or great game. Alien Isolation, Shadow of Mordor, many good Star Wars games, and so on. Even Fast and the Furious has that one Forza Horizons tie-in. I can't think of a single good Terminator game.

Again, the inclusion of AVP, and Requiem in particular makes this easy. Without them I feel there is a good match between Predator 2, which is just bad (and also led to AVP IIRC) and The Predator, the worst Shane Black film by a very long way.

This isnt really exploitative in the way that a lot of predatory practices in the games industry are. This is just a remaster with new stuff for full price which is widely accepted by the market.

Its exploitative because capitalism is inherently exploitative.

Motion controls are weird because there was forced motion controls, which was terrible and a fad, and motion controls in general, which are good and still around to this day. It's just that they are either in cases where motion controls are essential (things like VR or certain Nintendo games) or they are "invisible" motion controls like gyro aiming or very minor things. Either way motion controls were undoubtedly a good thing, but that period from about 2008-2011 where they got forced into everything regardless of need was not good.

It could be worse. You could have a full multi-party system with ten parties represented, except there are two dominant parties, its FPTP, and there is only one viable right party and many left parties to sap the vote from the main left party. At least the Democrats just have to fight the Republicans.

Of course it would be nice if you guys had a left party! But thats why the Democrats changing would be good.

Yeah its pretty clear that Microsoft is going for sheer value here. If it is significantly cheaper, and makes accessing the games (many of which will be on PS5) much cheaper through GamePass, and is more powerful (and as a part of that, gets the lead versions of multiplatform games) its difficult to see the PS5 offering a similar value.

That doesnt translate into better games or features though. Indeed the Xbox One had a better early lineup and more new features than the PS4, it didnt matter because the PS4 undercut it, got the lead versions of games, and had a better offer for the audience.
