And also, it's assumed because companies front the cost of insurance, that hospitals charge more for their services because they can, correct? So assuming we shift from the employer paying it to taxes, would employees get a huge salary bump or would companies front the cost of the healthcare tax? And why would that decrease Doctor salaries and is decreasing Doctor salaries something we should be trying to do? Just from a quick google Employers Pay 82 Percent of Health Insurance for Single Coverage. In 2018, the average company-provided health insurance policy totaled $6,896 a year for single coverage. On average, employers paid 82 percent of the premium, or $5,655 a year. Employees paid the remaining 18 percent, or $1,241 a year. Working Americas only spend 1,241 dollars per year vs the 7 to 8 thousand dollars Canadians pay. I don't understand the appeal of taxed Healthcare. --- Heavy Troopa is ready to launch |
