They hadnt won the war at that point. They declared their independence in 1776, but the war lasted until 1783. If the North tried ending slavery, the southern states would back and the 2 sides divided would easily be retaken by England, and everyone would be oppressed. Thanks SJWs!

Ive seen this posted a few times, and Im not sure why some of you just assume the kids will hate you. Its possible if they are uncomfortable with their mother dating, but its also possible that the kid might have a void in their life because they dont have a father and gravitate towards any male that shows interest.

As for disciplining the kid, I hope you realize that those fights can happen even if its your own kid. People dont always agree on children should be raised. That is probably something that should be discussed before it gets too serious.

When you have kids you have less value on the dating market, thats just how it is. Its hard enough finding someone you can click with as it is, but kids are an additional obstacle to getting to know this person, they are an additional challenge as you need to get them to accept you as well. If you want to get serious you are taking on not just this person, but taking on a family. Its a lot harder than than dating someone with no kids, which why they have more value.

Any time they mod you, no matter how bad it is, its unlikely to get overturned. So yes.

Times were different. This site was highly active. Even Niche game boards were active back then. Also the userbase was younger.

The problem is that new games are being released all the time, so the number of boards is growing exponentially, while the user base is staying the same. A board for every game sounded great back in the day, but its not sustainable.

If guys think that some metoo stories on twitter is creating an unprecedented situation where someone could lie and ruin another person reputation, they come across a bit ignorant of the reality: even when women tell the truth, historically the only reputation that gets ruined is their own.

Ruing someones life just based on an accusation is going too far in the other direction though. There has to be a middle ground where the accusations are taken seriously, but the accused doesnt immediately have the life ruined regardless of the outcome.

He's looking for an excuse at this point, it doesn't have to be rational. It's not like "Your friend will rape you come with me instead" is a logical thing for him to say either.

Also her friend is just another person in the crowd, it didn't seem in her account that he's paying enough attention to notice that person is with her.

Her story was that her and this friend went together to meet Joe, and he somehow grabbed her and said we have to go right now, and left the guy hanging. Its seems really odd that I couldve happened the way she described, yet he was unaware of this guy, and she didnt object?

Also it seems like he would be questioning his existence later on because that conversation happened after he overhead her talking to her boyfriend on the phone, and when he asked her about it point blank, she lied. Sure it was a dick move to keep pressing her on it, but he knew she was lying, and she admits she was lying.

Im a little confused. He allegedly grabbed her and dragged her away from her friend, but later on when she tells him that her friend is drunk, he asks for his twitter handle because he doesnt believe this is a real person. How is he not aware of this person, when she has been hanging out with him the entire time?

Its also questionable to hide the fact that you have a boyfriend even when he came right out and asked about it. If she never thought of this as a romantic date, than it shouldnt be an issue.

Its really not about mame. You are allowed to submit name scores into a different category.

The problem is that Billy swears up and down that all of those scores were done on actual machines, and has given lot of detail about where they were done, about the capture device he used. He says all 3 of the scores were done on Different arcade machines, in front of crowds, in a controlled Environment, yet all of the load levels like mame does, and no one has been able to reproduce this effect on actual hardware even with all the info he has given. Even the technician that he hired wasnt able to do it.

I dont think his standup is particularly good. But as an actor he can play any role. Ill watch any movie he is in.

Objectively speaking this cop is a blight to the force and the city. Why protect him when it's causing a fucking war in your city?

He was going to be arrested and charged eventually, but these things take time. He was not a regular citizen, he was police officer acting in the line of duty, they have more autonomy than a regular citizen, so it has to be investigated. It's no closer to happening now, with the city in shambles, there isn't even a police station left if they wanted to arrest him.

The cop has a right to trial. If you support the mob lynching him, than you are no better than the people you claim to be against.

Riots, looting, and terrorism are not protests. The rioters are disgusting.

Its not as simple as you are making it out to be. That's his wife, she's not going to be objective watching the video, she's going to be doing mental gymnastics to convince herself that her husband was justified.

They're still people, most of them are just trying to do a tough job. The job does have a built in authority, that can be scary with the wrong people.

I think it's more likely that the delivery drivers are more worried about their own safety from protestors.

Thats not true, the cop asked him to put his hands on the car, he said I dont got to do shit. He was aggressive was, and he ran up on the officer twice.

When the other officer showed up and pulled his taser, that is when he calmed down, and started to comply. He shouldve have that tone from the beginning, and there would have been an issue.

The cop handled it well. He didnt lose his cool, or argue back, he stayed calm and deesculated the situation. If you think this guy is an asshole, you probably just hate cops.
