That can't be true. I have a digital copy on my Vita and it has no problems. I have had it for 6 years or so.

Vita is still using proper PSP hardware, emulation is attempting to replicate the hardware and in the case of Darkstalkers it is now always a 1:1 successful conversion.

I believe a big problem is because Darkstalkers uses a different technique to render its graphics that most PSP games never did (I think it drew pixel by pixel). The port of Darkstalkers Chronicles is actually based off a release for Dreamcast that was released only in Japan (called Vampire Savior Online> with some additional modes, and for whatever reason Capcom decided to go with some odd rendering that draws things like the sprites and some background fluff independently of how just about every other PSP does.

The only way in emulation you could possibly get the graphics to display properly was using an obsolete option that since been removed because it caused too many issues with the PSP emulator in general. The game would either be slowed down significantly or have a bunch of frame skips that even if the graphics did display properly it wasn't worth it and it was incompatible with every other PSP game. With that gone, Darkstalkers for PSP is pretty much only playable for people that own actual Sony PSP hardware unless somebody in emulation goes through the task to actually try and fix all its plethora of issues which is unlikely because Darkstalkers is niche as is and most people are probably not going to give a shit to go through all that effort for one game.

Fun and useless fact: the Darkstalkers PSP game can only be played on proper hardware, emulators can't replicate it at all and will always cause sprites to go missing.

I will say Manhunt with today's graphical quality and how those executions played out would make it seem like it's not going to be in the cards for a long while. Like a fatality in MK11 is pretty gory and all, but it's played to a more cartoonish and cool stylistic effect while Manhunt tries to replicate what a person killing another person would look and sound like.

Watching Johnny Cage do a series of humorous uppercuts before a successful decapitation is one thing, watching a convict suffocate someone with a plastic bag while constantly smashing their fist into their face as they try to struggle out is another matter entirely.

Also Manhunt 2 was a good game, not as good in story/atmosphere as the first but still very decent and plays on mental psychosis much more.

It also has very grisly kills if you can get it uncensored. Like most of them make MH1 look acceptable. That dental chair execution is just... oooh, boy.

Manhunt has one of the most under appreciated soundtracks in all of gaming. That shit is horror synth done right, not this new age bullshit that sounds like club music.

I stopped watching the show after the season that put Sansa and and the bastard in the same scenario, to be as spoiler free as possible (but also watched the season before the last with friends since it was a chance to leave the house regularly). It was completely out of character for Littlefinger to do what he did; he had to have known how dangerous he was and there was no way he would have put her in such a situation given how he hadn't gotten over her mom.

I think Littlefinger when he went to speak with Roose had a brief interaction with Ramsay where he noted how he hardly knows much about him which makes "something of a rarity." Littlefinger is very cunning and great at setting things up, but it always felt like Varys was the guy who had all the deep connections and could easily find things out from his little birds.

I still think the show should have ended by...

Having the big war for the Iron Throne, bloody, grueling, all sorts of mayhem. Then in the aftermath the victor breathes out in relief and finally has what the show has made its focal point for nearly a decade... only to see the Army of the Dead approaching in the horizon and constantly adding to its numbers as they pass slain bodies on the battlefield.

A Pyrrhic victory would have been the perfect ending for GoT.

I saw this movie and keep in mind I'm a feminist ally so I had a very particular set of expectations going in. That said, this movie is extremely empowering. Women are here to kick ass and take names. I loved it, I almost choked on my popcorn whenever a joke would be made because this movie also shows the acting chops of all these beautiful and extremely talented women. Margot Robbie is so fucking talented, she's so fucking good at being an actress I wanted to stand and applause at various points. EASILY my MOTY 2020.

Gonna see it again with my younger sister so she can hopefully find a positive role model and know that she can be every bit as BADASS as these cool women.
