Also thank God for the Isabelle buffs. They didn't touch her core issues like mobility or disadvantage but making moves like uptilt, which was already one of her best moves, even better is great as well as the upair and upsmash buffs.

Ggs. Idk this game just takes too much patience a lot of times. I know I'm overusing my burst options to force my way in and it's way too predictable. I guess bait and punish is the way to play

I feel like you have to play a certain way online and sometimes abuse some options that are better online but I cant play that way. It's probably optimal to just sit behind the lloid mine or spam slingshot with Isabelle but I don't like playing her like that, I'd rather spam nair and uptilt. I feel Pichu could be played a lot more aggressive but not online imo.

You mean the triforce league? It's just some side event with a $150 prize I think. I ignore it but I can see why it's there. Mostly to interact with the community.

Yeah most guys there are on the young side but there's guys around our age range, late 20s to 30s, and that's fine too. It's a good place to get practice since they have strong players especially the Zelda ones since they're attracted there like lighting. I was a little disappointed with my tier placement yesterday since I have a pretty decent record vs on the people on A tier and have close games with the Zelda player Ilyana. But I can see why since my results on crew battles are pretty poor. Also playing Pichu vs Zelda online isn't very fun lmao but I do pretty good in that MU with Isabelle.

it's funny because when the game came out, there were legit tier lists from pros that had the belmonts as top or high tier. now they're pretty solidly mid. That makes it all the more impressive at how good Simon is with them.

A lot of characters were overrated from the get go. I remember Leffen putting Falco as best in game when the game first came out as well as other oddities like Game and Watch being a low tier or Mario a mid tier. The Belmonts were for sure up there because people still didn't know how to deal with their projectile wall. Nowadays the meta is more solid, we know more or less know who is top tier but there's still some hold overs whether game and watch and ROB fit the top tier mold. There's also other oddities like Pichu's place in the meta with some top players ranking the character mid tier or below and there being some backlash from the reddit and twitter crowd.

Yeah, also b reverse aura sphere is a good mobility option. Lucario has actual decent mobility, it's just his moves that feel clunky and he's held back by the aura mechanic.

Lucario has pretty good airspeed, he's tied with Wolf at 6th-7th, cloud tier fall speed, below average dash speed but one of the best initial dashes so foxtrotting is optimal here for speed.

Honestly I feel Lucario has better mobility than Pichu sometimes lmao

I'm ok with them but I keep fucking it up with Pichu's tjolt and inputting skull bash is bad because how laggy that move is. So practicing b reverses with a character thar makes good use of them is the way to go.

I think my PC is good enough to handle melee online, it can play RDR2 with everything on max. I haven't been putting time into it lately and I haven't touched the online yet. I'm still mostly using training mode and the occasional CPU fight.
