I am just about the enter the courthouse after having I think explored all the stuff I could in downtown Seattle. I can totally understand and appreciate people being emotionally devastated by the death of Joel. What I don't understand is people fucking hating on it happening. ... the dude literally murdered hundreds of people and arguably snatched a cure away from the world. Joel is not a hero, and I felt like the whole point of the world building in the first game is the fact that heroes don't exist. There are survivors who need to do selfish things at times to survive, and those who die. I'm assuming some of the legit dislike stuff is maybe coming up later, but so far the only negative I have is that the unbreakable knife can make combat pretty trivial. --- |

Basically having Maruki be a dude who was using Futaba's mom's research to find a way to change someone's cognition, only for (so far) him to get HIS research stolen also by Shido, then have him awaken to a Persona by sheer luck while we fought the God of Control? He then uses this Persona to seemingly enter/adapt Mementos into a way to change all of the worlds cognition? Just because he wants a fake world where everyone is happy and never has to ever deal with a problem? I just got the route to his treasure done, so I don't have the entire story yet, but I don't feel this is an especially strong way to end the game. Feels like it should have been less all-encompassing and happened BEFORE the end of the game with Shido. --- |
