For me personally, it's still Morrowind. Obviously not in terms of the technical aspects (with the awkward animations, static characters, relative lack of voice acting, etc.), but the writing and lore. For being perhaps the most "out there" Elder Scrolls game, it feels surprisingly real, with its combination of religion, politics, culture, etc.; and the different factions/races with competing interests, and their own views and customs. Michael Kirkbride did a great job, and I think the franchise is much diminished without him.

It is slightly interesting, but I guess they're two fundamentally different beasts, with the latter being infectious and being able to spread quickly. You also only have the latter for like 2 weeks, while you can have cancer for years, and it can come back.

Basically, cancer is typically about the long game, while Coronavirus is a more immediate concern.

Agreed with Metroid Prime (1-3) and REmake.

I love how F-Zero GX looks too, especially considering it runs at a smooth 60FPS. And Rogue Leader. And Wind Waker, Killer7 and Viewtiful Joe for some cell-shaded goodness.

The Cube put out some really good graphics.

In the same gen, Ninja Gaiden Black and the Splinter Cells on the XBOX also looked great.

Tales of Phantasia was one of the best looking SNES games.

Legend of Mana (PS1) looks fantastic.

Edit: I've only seen screenshots and video of Splinter Cell (minus the first GC one) and Viewtiful Joe.

Mine are Deus Ex, Diablo II: LoD, Metroid Prime, Super Metroid and Metal Gear Solid 3.

I really need to play Chrono Cross.

I played Abyss recently and had a good time, but Symphonia has a special place in my heart. I bought Berseria in a Humble Bundle, so I'll try that next. Still haven't played Vesperia.

I think the real issue is the outsourcing of NHS services (which is more or less the opposite of 'sellng off'). In a sense, that could actually be seen as a worse thing, as it's potentially more lucrative, and most of the risk is effectively underwritten by the public.

Selling off has only really occurred with NHS land/buildings (not really what people usually have in mind when they mention 'selling off') as far as I'm aware, which is certainly an issue too, albeit not as well publicized. https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/ournhs/great-nhs-property-sell-off-gathers-pace/

There are only two seasons in Scotland, Winter and June.

Seriously:

Summer > Spring >> Autumn >>> Winter

I fucking hate the cold, dark, snow, ice, etc. Our Summers don't get that hot (like low to mid 20s if we're lucky). And I don't really suffer from Hay Fever.

I always feel great relief when the Winter is behind me, and dread when it's just round the corner.

I imagine it's the opposite for many people in warmer climes. If Winter was like our Summer, and Summer really hot and humid, I'd probably feel the same.

I haven't actively seeked them out, but I have viewed whatever I've seen posted on here and Reddit (which is probably most of it).

My hype has been a bit of a rollercoaster, as I'm sure it has been for many people. When the game was first announced, the hype was real, as the announcement mostly wasn't expected at that point. Then as time went on, with us hearing very little, my hype gradually waned. The announcement that the game would be episodic didn't help. More recently, my hype has increased again as I've seen the game in action and learned more about it.

This whole saga is laughable on multiple levels.

The irony of her blaming everyone else when his whole schtick was about personal responsibility. I think he even said drug problems are a "character failing".

Also, the crazy (keto) diet she put him on to seems to have played a part, by his own account.

And he always went on about "scientific evidence", but opted to go to Russia for quack remedies (and go on the above diet before that) which led to him being in his current state. In fact, I read that he opted to forego the usual treatment because he wanted to try and tough it out and essentially prove his strength (or die trying).

I can't say I don't feel any sympathy, since he's had an awful time of it, but he hasn't exactly helped himself.

Did you see this shit?

https://www.theregister.co.uk/2020/02/14/silly_police_infosec_parental_advice_poster/

The UK's National Crime Agency has publicly distanced itself from a poster urging parents to call police if their child has installed Kali Linux, Tor or brace yourself Discord.

Issued by the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (WMROCU) via local area councils, the poster in question lists a slack handful of common infosec tools as well as some that clearly have nothing to do with computer security.

Should your child install Kali Linux, virtual machines (the image on the poster looks like Virtualbox) or internet privacy tool Tor, West Midlands Police wants to know immediately. And if Heaven forfend your sprog installs Metasploit to learn how to secure code, uses free chat service for gamers Discord, or gets a Wi-Fi Pineapple for research, you may as well report straight to your nearest prison and abandon your tainted offspring forever.

"If you see any of these on their computer, or have a child you think is hacking, let us know so we can give advice and engage them into positive diversions," intones the offending poster, forwarded to us by a reader and which we reproduce below in all its glory.

Also, I find it funny after all the hand-wringing about the EU's Copyright Directive. That does go a lot further than this law to be fair, but the Tories and Labour are fairly bipartisan in supporting laws like this, so expect to see something similar here in the near future.

I expect the porn block to be revived at some point too.

I think the user interface tweaks probably helped my enjoyment the most and had the most obvious impact. The closest option to that would be the bag changes. The inventory system was horrendous in Gen 1, with the items being all mixed up, no automatic sorting (did Gen 2 have that?), the really limited space (to the point where you have to throw TMs away or use them immediately), etc.
