There's a lot of JRPGs that are beloved but still suck in these contests: Trails in the Sky Skies of Arcadia Persona 3 Tales of Berseria/Vesperia Pokemon Gens 3 and 5 Radiant Historia hasn't even gotten in a contest and probably never will at this point It takes more than just being beloved to be strong, and we were surprised that Xenoblade found that strength while others did not. --- Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality |

| OrangeCrush980 04/22/20 5:10:14 PM #9 | I banked on Soulsborne not being as strong as some hyped up, so I took Awakening > Bloodborne and Last of Us > Dark Souls. My hope is that maybe Dark Souls is just really good at blowing out fodder, but not looking great. I probably had too much faith in Skyrim, or rather too little faith in the rest of the bottom half. I thought Skyrim was a step above the bottom half and would get to Zelda comfortably enough, but that's feeling like a risky pick now. Taking Three Houses > Xenoblade is probably gonna get me too. I had a feeling that Three Houses might not be quite as big as it was hyped, but it wasn't like Xenoblade was that impressive in 2015 either and if its the new Tales of Symphonia then it'd probably just get weaker.
