The gunplay is the best it has been. I feel like the companion system is great even if the companions themselves were annoying as fuck. I'd love to see that system in a Far Cry 2 remake with the mercenary buddies. But then, the map is the most boring it has ever been. I also felt the planes, helicopter and weaponized vehicles took away from the game. The vehicles should be primarily for traversal, not combat. --- |

Like so much of the style had to do with hardware limitations. When people mimic 16 bit pixel graphics it never really *feels* the same, but it looks nice. I know the general consensus on another site I frequent that did a poll was that it would start right around now, which I guess could be considered correct given the Michigan protests. I always thought it'd be a few more weeks than that simply because they kept extending the supposed open up date, which will pacify people but not for long. Now the May 1st number has been thrown around a bit too much, so if stuff doesn't open up by then I think we'll see people just straight up ignoring the self isolate orders/lockdown orders. --- |
