Bam/Yoru is easily the worst character thus far.

You pay a set amount per chapter, per series, so finding more you enjoy wouldn't actually make a diff in how much you're paying for ToG specifically.

Dorohedoro beated. Pretty disappointing show! Makes me wonder if the manga is better.

I liked the early episodes where things were more mysterious and it was all just fun/ridiculous adventures, but it got a lot more boring when it focused more on the sorcerers and explained more of the world. I think if it'd stayed more episodic and mysterious it could've gotten away with stuff a lot better. Like, at the start of the show, it's fine that sorcerers are just random evil dudes who do evil shit for mysterious reasons, but then later it develops them more and tries to portray them as good people who do evil shit because... the writing needs to have a conflict? I dunno. All the sorcerer characters were pretty boring too, particularly Shin and En. Needed more Caiman and Nikaido adventures. Also would've been nice if the last arc hadn't been about Nikaido being a damsel in distress.

Compounding all this is that the show just... ends without really resolving anything. Should've stuck with the manga.

It's got 6 more OVA's coming shortly so I'm hoping it's a Bakemonogatari situation where they just didn't have enough time to do it in the tv broadcast slots.

As to the sorcerers, I never felt like the show was trying to argue they were good people, but it was trying to give them depth beyond just being evil.
