Duct Soup wasn't too shabby. I do agree that some of the crew dynamics in this season seem a bit forced, though, and not just because of the change a few eps ago. Cat's dialogue has been a bit weak, too, although the "So how'd you get claustrophobia? Were you born with it or are you just a bit sissy?" was pretty good.

Cat got majorly shafted in season 7 because his episode wasn't made due to JFK episode overspending

Also Shattered Memories is a re-telling (not a remake) of the original Silent Hill. This kind of causes some continuity errors if you subscribe to any sort of timeline.

It's a bit of a mess

3 is a direct sequel to 1

Other than that they are independent but reference each other a lot so knowledge of the other games is useful.

So 2 is its own thing but 3 is more direct. Would you say that those games are worthwhile if I enjoyed the first? This isn't like some Jurassic Park thing is it where the next 2 installments are kinda shit but have their defenders? Are they really good? Because I really want to delve further in this but I also have other games in my list I need to get to but I've been in kind of a horror mood lately

Silent Hill 2 is one of the best horror games ever made.

But none of them are very scary. Silent Hill goes for atmosphere and tension over being scary.

If you're looking for Jumpscares then something like Outlast or Fatal Frame might be more your thing

Are you on Windows?

It doesn't work on Windows X. You have to go into it's compatibilty files and tell it to run like it was on windows 8. Exactly how to do that will depend on where you got the game from.

Empire Earth III was a commercial and critical failure and is widely thought to be responsible for the end of the Empire Earth series and Mad Doc Studios. Mad Doc even removed any trace of the game from their website before getting bought by Rockstar Games.

the questions most of the time go nowhere. sometimes they open up one more string of dialogue and even more sometimes, they will open up something in the story/game for you

meanwhile you got Chad Warden with his 27 dialogue options per convo, with cunning checks, persuasion checks, intimidation checks, and ability to convey a range of emotions

As much as I like Origins there are very few cunning checks, perusaion is just a bar you fill when you level up and while it might seem like a lot if you see 7 lines of dialogue to choose from, in 2 and 3 there's still usually roughly the same amount of dialogue it's just displayed differently rather than being shown in a line

I agree with your overall point, I prefer Origins' approach. I just don't think 2 or 3 are as bad as you think they are. It's mostly just a formatting difference.

Graphics? Sure

Have Bioware ever had good graphics? Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire, KOTOR, Mass Effect (all of them) were behind their counter parts.

Bioware skimps on graphics in favor of having larger deeper worlds and I 100% agree with that game philopshy. Same reason Deus EX and System Shock 2 are so great.

But Gameplay? Nah I disagree. I loved Origins Game play WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than 2. And it still holds up today.

Sure the Fade and Deep Roads hurt on repeat playthroughs but first time over they are great

That's kind of a half truth

You have 3 choices to end the conversation (or certain parts of it) but you can usually open up and ask more questions about stuff.

Which is the same as Origins, just differently formated.

I agree about the misleading text though.

I agree Origins is better. I just think 2 and 3 are still good. Bioware are capable of good writing

I always felt that "Tikka To Ride" was one of their weakest episodes, it's really not funny at all

I think it's the most expensive one they shot out of the first 8 seasons so you're going to make the creators cry lol

I don't think cannibalism as a joke bothers people in the UK. I mean the IT Crowd did a whole episode about it that was literally making fun of a real case and no one cared.

I think Emohawk is the weakest episode. It's almost a clipshow. "Remember these funny gags, here they are again!"

It's an amazing country that houses many of the most intelligent people on Earth, creates awesome inventions, has immensely high standards of production, healthcare, athletics, education. The standard of living is so high.

Fun fact about that scene/episode

When they made it and sent season 7 to the American censors they said "You might want to take a closer look at this JFK episode because we don't want to accidentally say anything culturally offensive to Americans."

And they got a response from the FFC or whoever it was in charge at the time saying "Yeah we can't air one scene."

And they were shocked that it turned out to be that one you quoted.

Murdering the Oswold and the President is fine, as is turning the assassination attempt into a farce but when it aired in the US they cut that scene out because "Cannibalism is just too offensive for the American people" lol

They actually had to edit it down because the audience wouldn't stop laughing.

"Well I cant say I'm totally shocked, youd bonk anything wouldn't you Lister?" Was supposed to be the punchline but audience laughed so hard for about 30 seconds that Barrie had to just stand there until he was half shouting his lines.

It won an Emmy. Something very few British shows have done, let alone low budget sci-fi

Remember this was filmed in England (Kent actually which is hilarious) which I think is why people respect it so much. It's one thing to say "Let's do cowboy episode" when you live in Texas and have 7 figure budgets, it's another when you live in Manchester England and are pulling props from your pockets.
