People like this need to be locked up for life. Utterly irredeemable monsters.

God what is it with this knee jerk reaction to lock up and dehumanize people.

Please stop calling criminals monsters. Theyre people, like you and me, no matter what theyve done. Life has led them down this road somehow, and you dont fix the problem by just erasing him. When you call him inhuman, you put him in a category where its okay to not treat him like a person anymore.

There are some people who are beyond help and he might be one of them, I dont know, but this sort of reaction bothers me.

I dunno what category people like Rock or myself would fit in? Refugees?

But its not like Canada is some magical land that is tons better. Its just marginally better in some areas.

And just to be clear, Im not coming at you from some moral high ground like Im better or not a hypocrite in this regard. I still occasionally watch WWE and subscribe to their streaming service, which supports some pretty awful people and causes. But I definitely understand why people boycott things if they believe that their money would be used to fund deplorable things

Its an extreme hypothetical because Im trying to find where your line of values is

I know you care about things that directly affect you. Like I doubt you would continue to buy Nike products if they had YOUR son working in a sweat shop.

But apparently terrorism is a bad enough cause that you would not fund it, even if it personally benefitted you. Thats something! Im trying to understand your threshold for foregoing personal enjoyment for a better cause even if that cause doesnt affect you at all.

I can easily separate a product from a person. I am not gonna not use an electric car if I think Elon Musk is an idiot. I am not gonna not use a trump hotel if that's my best option if I think he is an idiot. I am not gonna play a game I like because the company does something I don't agree with.

Like I see all the nonsense virtue signalling going on and it's weird (I also think a lot of people lie about it).

I am not gonna buy Last of Us because of crunch!

I am not gonna buy Cyberpunk because CDPR made a assuming my gender joke!

I am not gonna buy Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft consoles because they are made in China, questionably by forced labor.

I am not gonna buy Nike stuff because it is made in sweat shops.

I am not gonna read Harry Potter because JK Rowling's doesn't have the same views as me on transgender issues.

Like, the list honestly is long, exhausting, and frankly dumb.

I have zero doubt a good chunk of those people are full of shit with their boycotts, and are also hypocrites with boycotts when it comes to their convenience.

Living your life that way is frankly dumb.

Is there any cause that you would fight for that doesnt involve you personally?

My apologies; I assumed you were a Steelers fan

Can you understand that for some people, respect for the flag is so paramount that it means more to them to not support someone who disrespects it than it does to get entertainment?

That goes for any boycott reason really. Why would you want to support a person or company who uses your support to facilitate causes that you despise on a level bigger than yourself?

Does your own pleasure override a larger sense of morality and ideals? Honest question

That's not the argument at all. The argument that he isn't anti-America or had intent to disrespect the flag is bullshit because he is literally disrespecting the independence day of our nation and calling those who celebrate it as celebrating white supremacy. That's case closed on it. No coming back from that.

The cause of taking a knee for police brutality/systemic racism is fine. (I think it is disrespectful to do during the anthem though). But, the argument has always been Colin himself wasn't disrespecting the flag and our nation by doing what he was doing. Yet, his words today make it painfully clear what his intent has always been.

Sure, Colin Kaepernick doesnt respect America or its foundation as a slave state that it has never recovered from

Would you take him on the Steelers if hes still good enough?

Also why does it matter what many people feel?

If you want to argue that Kaepernick is full of shit, youre gonna have to bring better stuff than 9 years ago he celebrated the 4th of July and now he doesnt.

Was he kneeling during the anthem before then? Then you might have an argument that he was a hypocrite.

He did have two singles matches on Superstars during the 5 years it existed while he was a singles guy.

Then once he started the Colossal Connection with Haku as he wound down his career, they had a handful of tag matches on Superstars, including winning the tag titles on that show

A. Do you agree this is racism.
B. Do you think the husband should have been fired from his job.
C. Do you agree they both will be found guilty of felony assault
D. Do you think that there are any charges that the other party would be guilty of? Harrassment, threats, vandalism. Etc.

A.) No way to truly know, but the White woman did say White people arent racist which was a big red flag. Who do you think you are? is another red flag to me but by no means definitive.
B.) Whats his job? How important is public image to that job? Was there a statement from his company?
C.) I dont trust the justice system so I cant say for sure, but the woman definitely should be. For the husband, it would take more testimony and evidence to get me to convict him.
D.) No, unless there is evidence that the black woman struck the car before it was in motion and she did damage.

Assault is a felony crime when committed with the intent to murder or cause great bodily harm or when committed with the intent to commit another felony, such as kidnapping or robbery. Assault or battery, when committed against certain victims, such as a human services agency employee, police officer, or a pregnant woman, is also a felony. Additionally, assault or battery is a felony when committed with a dangerous weapon, including a firearm. To learn more, see Assault with a Deadly Weapon in Michigan.
