That's the other issue, DLC that skirts the line of being linked to unfavorable RNG results or even legality issues, with EA being one of the most common answers used by many.

DLC can go both ways. If it's quality content, then, I can see getting it. [such as the Dark Souls offerings: Artorias of the Abyss/Crowns of the Three Kings and etc.]

Whether the DLC or microtransactions available are *good* or *not*, it all comes down to the consumer's choice, and being smart with your money. While there are many that say DLC is bad as a business practice, the other telling side is, people are willing to drop enough money to make the content available profitable, and as long as it continues that way, a company will more than likely not change course unless the need arises.

The tank controls didn't end with CV, because they had one last appearance in Resident Evil Zero using the old school pre-rendered backgrounds.

There is one tip that can be given for all of the old style RE's 0-3 and CV, is that a crawling zombie cannot kill you, even if your health is at it's lowest red danger level. So, in that instance, if a ton of crawling zombies are in a room, and you have almost no health left, feel free to walk into all of them, and effectively get all of the head stomp/kick kills you can, then heal after the room is emptied.

Beating CV for the Rocket Launcher is tough though: No ink ribbons, No first aid sprays, No continues, beat the game under 4:30 hours, I believe you even must finish the lighter side quest involving Roderigo with both Claire and Chris. The only thing you get, is the save in the middle when switching from disc 1 to disc 2 [or, in the case of later versions, the game's mid point, since those versions are not two discs], because the 00 save doesn't count against you.

Well, in the USA, you've got till July 15 for taxes this year, a whole three month extension past April 15 without the need to file for one.

Resident Evil 4 tops the list for me during 2000-2009.

CODE: Veronica and Skies of Arcadia on Dreamcast were quite nice too.
Okami on PS2 is up there.
For me, there's a handful of Vertical/Side Scrolling Shooters I could list too: Ikaruga[DC], Gradius V, R-Type Final, Border Down, Under Defeat, and, there's a lot more I can't think of right now.

Soul loss, the most ever for me in DS1 amounted to 250,000 at one time. But, of course, once you hit the 200+ level range, a quarter million doesn't even cover one level up, so, that total really isn't all that much.

One of my favorite weapons in DS1: the Zweihander upgraded to Magic+10.

Of course, to get there, you need the Large Magic Ember, access to New Londo Ruins blacksmith, 9 Titanite Shards, 10 Green Titanite Shards, 7 Blue Titanite Chunks and 1 Blue Titanite Slab. Luckily, it's possible to find one of those Slabs in the normal game, and one more in the DLC without having to fight the Crystal Butterflies and dealing with their awful drop rates.

Just my two cents: I enjoyed Dark Souls a lot, but I played Dark Souls II significantly longer than the first. Demon's Souls was great as well, although, you do get the sense the developers learned a lot from Demon's Souls as they fixed a lot of the "rough around the edges" parts of the game.

One of those primary things that comes to mind is the complexity of weapon forging, Demon's Souls really went all out with the types of materials, making even normal weapons have two types of materials rather than one, that being the hardstone and sharpstone series of materials.

Then Dark Souls modified that to simply the standard form of Titanite. Of course, for both games, the alternate forms of branching paths required weapons to be at certain +X values to get the desired effect.

And when you look to Dark Souls II, that was simplified further since it didn't matter what +X value was on a weapon, as it could be changed to a different elemental state providing you just had the correct blacksmith plus the Dull Ember and the right material.

Also, in Dark Souls II, one can not deny the awesomeness of the Bone Fist+5, it's a bit tricky to use, but when used properly, that weapon dishes out ridiculous damage.

One thing I found to be an odd design choice in Dark Souls II, was the importance on the Agility stat. Anything below 100 makes your invincibility dodge roll frames inadequate or I-Frames for short, and my personal minimum is at the 105 range. Additional calculations by people who have tested I-Frames, have found the remaining increases occur at the Agility values of 111, 114, and cap at 116, even though the stat can effectively reach 120.
