The condition is so embarrassing that James Scott feels unable to see his nine-year-old daughter, he told the Daily Record. The former glazier, from Glasgow, sustained serious pelvis injuries when 1.5 tonnes of glass fell on him during an accident at work four years ago. He fractured a bone at the bottom of his spine, had lacerations on both legs and suffered a blocked uretha in the accident. An operation to repair his penis problem took place in 2018. However, this left him with further complications and erectile issues. But now an operation to correct the erectile dysfunction has left him with the opposite issue. He said he is now "a prisoner" in his own home as he is in constant pain and can't put trousers on. He also can't have his nine-year-old daughter to visit as a result of the embarrassing condition. Mr Scott, 57, from Balornock, claims doctors have refused to visit him at home to sort out the issue. "After the operation, I wasn't able to get an erection, so I had another op. They inserted metal rods into my penis. "I was told it would be sore for about six to eight weeks after, but I never expected anything like this. "I've now got a permanent erection and I'm in agony." He was told by his doctors that his GP was on holiday and there was no other male doctor available. But he added: "Surely male and female doctors assess patients of the opposite sex daily." The Tollcross Medical Centre in Glasgow said maintaining patient confidentiality is "extremely important" and it makes commenting on individual cases extremely difficult. "In general terms, severe post-operative complications are most appropriately managed by the specialists in hospital and the safest option is for hospital assessment." DeSantis asked lawmakers to send him the bill during his State of the State speech that kicked off the legislative session last month. What we are talking about is a child, and here were are talking about a child who is carrying a child, said Republican Rep. Erin Grall, who sponsored the bill. By including parents in this decision we empower the family. It is the critical backbone of our civilized society. The debate over the measure lasted nearly four hours. The bill has a provision that will allow a girl to ask a judge for a waiver from the law in cases of abuse, incest or when involving a parent could cause more harm than allowing the procedure. But opponents argued that asking minors to negotiate the legal system when they are already scared and ashamed could drive them to illegal abortions. We are codifying into law that someone else can force a girl to have a child she does not want to have, Democratic Rep. Susan Valdes said. I worry that many girls will, when deprived access to a safe termination of pregnancy, take the risks of finding an unsafe, dangerous and untested method of terminating their pregnancies. She said that might include searching the internet for mystery concoctions in an attempt to end the pregnancy. Democrats also said some girls might risk being thrown out of their homes or beaten if they tell their parents they're pregnant. But Grall said that just because there are some bad parents, it doesn't mean the rights of others to be part of the decision should be taken away. We hear the stories about the bad parent, the human trafficking, the intolerant parent, the abusive parent, the parent who will kill their child. I refuse to accept that we should diminish the rights of all parents in the raising of their children because of the acts of a few, Grall said. Republicans argued that children need a parent's permission to go on a school field trip and can't go to an R-rated movie without a parent or guardian, so it makes no sense to make a life-altering decision on their own. We require parental consent for a minor to get a driving learners permit because it is common sense. It is not common sense to suggest that getting a learners permit is a less significant life decision than a child getting an abortion," Republican Rep. Ana Maria Rodriguez said. A parent guiding their children through major life decisions is a good thing." Florida will join 26 other states in requiring that at least one parent give written permission authorizing a doctor to terminate the pregnancy of a minor. Doctors who perform abortions without the parental consent of a girl under 18 would face up to five years in prison for a third-degree felony. In 1979, the Florida Legislature enacted a similar parental consent law, but it was struck down a decade later by the Florida Supreme Court, which ruled that a womans right to privacy extended to pregnant minors. Bill supporters say the constitutional issue has been addressed in the current bill by including the judicial waiver and with a provision that would allow abortions in cases of medical emergencies without parental notification. Once DeSantis signs the bill, it will become law July 1. Supportive comments from women are a blessing, as most women are pretty bad to one another, especially on the internet, Curry tells Yahoo Lifestyle, who adds that her implant-explant journey has taught her a valuable lesson about herself. That I foolishly wasted a lot of time in my life trying to impress other people, and I wont waste one more singular moment doing so ever again, she says. A healthy and happy life far outweighs a so-called relevant and glittery one. On social media, her posts offered an honest update of her implant removal, in which she discusses going down more than two cup sizes and struggling with insecurities surrounding her body image. Story time, begins Curry, who became famous after winning the first season of Americas Next Top Model and then co-starred in the reality series My Fair Brady while she was married to now-ex Christopher Knight. I lost most my breast tissue in my right breast due to massive scarring/ flesh swimming in silicone. My doctor then decided to reduce my left breast to try to even me out. When I awoke, she was upfront about my results & discussed possible fat transfer. But, explained Curry, now an Avon representative who is married to voiceover actor Matthew Rhode, I am not interested in more surgeries. I was a c cup and a b cup prior to surgery. Now? Not even a double A. Most women go back to what they had before and some are even bigger. I was hoping I'd be bigger since I gained weight since implanting. She adds, Ive tossed the dice and lost EVERY time I did ANYTHING for vanity. Dont do it, guys. Curry decided to have her implants removed after many years of pain, complications and deformity, even after swapping out one pair for another and seeing no improvement. A lot of vulnerable, scared and suffering women come to the internet in search of answers regarding having crammed foreign objects in their bodies to look more visually appeasing. I was one of them, she wrote on her personal blog post in 2019. But, also according to the ASPS, nearly 30,000 patients have their implants removed every year. And Curry is among them, following an early-January surgery that came with complications including leaked silicone and the removal of breast tissue in an attempt to even out her appearance. Now, shes not holding back when it comes to sharing about her body-image struggle, admitting in her Thursday social media posts, I am uncomfortable with my body currently, but I will learn to live with it. It's still healing and will be for 4.5 more months. Curry also calls out those who might mean well but who instead wind up minimizing her emotional experience with explanting.
