I've always liked 7. might not be the best of the classic games but it's by no means bad. I'd atleast put it over 8 (also not bad, but pretty meh) and my least favorite of the classic series (or perhaps even Megaman in general) is easily &Bass (the GBA version especially, the one I played).

And yeah, the final Wily battle in 7 is insane. I was actually proud of myself last time I played the game when I beat it my first try without having to use every E-tank or S-tank. I only had to use 3 E-tanks. >_>

Yup, watched all 5 seasons. I got into it sometime after Season 4 ended and before season 5 started.

I haven't watched El Camino yet. I haven't watched Breaking bad since it ended, so I guess I'm concerned somethings might go over my head if I watched the movie or I might not be able to appreciate it as much as i could if BB was more fresh in my mind.

I admire the game for creating the job system that would get improved and expanded upon in FFV, but I never cared for it. If I wanted to play a job system FF I'll just play FFV.

that aside, those dungeons where you had to be a toad and mini were a huge pain, and the final dungeon was especially stupid. IIRC it was a very huge dungeon with multiple bosses (including final one obviously), and there was no point to save ever I think. I don't think the DS version gave you a chance to save, but it's been so long since I played it so I don't entirely remember it.

Overall I find it quite mediocre. if I had to give it a number rating it'd probably be around a 4/10 or maybe a 5/10.

I'm from NH and I didn't even know grape-nuts ice cream was a thing.

I played Secret of Mana via the SNES mini, and didn't feel like buying the Mana collection only for ToM (didn't feel like playing the GB game either), so I have been intrigued by the remake and how it compares to the original.

Of what you own VII and IX are the best and are 2 of my top 5 games in the series.

If you are okay with buying other ones I'd also highly recommend the SNES era FFs (IV, V, and VI), as they are the other 3 games in my personal top 5. I dunno if they ever got on steam but they all did get GBA ports with extra content so that's great way to play the SNES era titles. If you have a PSP then FFIV got an even better port there that has even nicer visuals, the extra GBA content, and IV's sequel the After Years.

The one I usually went to shut down for the moment, so I'm guessing not.

Yeah, SOTN is good. It's not my favorite game in the series, or even my favorite of the "Metroidvanias" in the series (that would go to OoE), but it's still high up on the list for me.

I'm pretty sure that the parents of DQ7's hero stay alive throughout the entire game. They always got along too.

DQ7 was pretty damn long game too IIRC so they had plenty of time to pull the dead parents cliche yet never did.

I do agree, though both are great games. The way I put it is that TTYD has higher highs than 64, but also lowers lows.

One thing that Paper Mario 64 deserves credit for is having one of the best portrayals as a villain and one of the best fights with Bowser, imo. This plus the better pacing of 64 is what tips it over TTYD for me.

Honestly I felt all 3 of the operation rainfall games were just okayish; can't say I found any of them particularly impressive. Xenoblade was bogged down by the typical stuff large open worlds get bogged down by. I liked Last Story's, well, story, but the gameplay was kinda weird and forgettable though. Pandora's tower was neat but kinda lost it's luster halfway through and the final level was a huge pain in the ass I recall.

I remember people praising the hell out of 2001: A Space Odyssey and was actually excited to check it out years ago, and when I watched it what I got was a movie that went from monkeys doing monkey things to 5 hours of people floating in space as a robot did some mean but not really scary things then watched a 5 hour acid trip which then ended on a random space fetus.

I didn't like it at all.

If remasters count, then either Spyro 1-3 or Link's Awakening (perhaps more of a remake but is still largely the same game as the GB and GBC ones)

It's been so long since I've played FFIX that I don't remember what gave me the most trouble or remember how my battles went. I definitely remember getting my ass kicked alot and having to restart alot until I could actually beat Ozma.

FFVIII is...unfortunate for me. I want to love it for its surreal and quirky world; fir stuff like the pic in the OP, the alien side quest, FFVIII being the first game to introduce the Cactuar King I think? The game also has a great soundtrack and was a nice jump from FFVII on the graphics front.

Just sucks that the gameplay was so awkward and tedious, and that the story was dumb and convoluted as fuck. It's not the worst FF but it's pretty low on the list for me.

Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy XV

If you want to know how the merged story would go, you'll have to watch the movie associated with Chrono Trigger XV, watch an animation, as well as buy all the DLC the game needed despite the fact this game was in development for over a decade.

As far as gameplay goes, all you have to do win any battle is hold the attack button down until either you win or a summon automatically appears and wins the battle for you.

What I hate is when I take a shit and most of it comes out, but not all of it, and that remaining tiny little turd just refuses to budge.

I got an 82% match with Iroh from Avatar: the Last Airbender. As someone who has only watched part of the first season over a decade and a half ago I think, I don't really know how to feel about this or remember much about the character at all.

I will say the quiz is pretty weird and questionable, and the "angelic vs. demonic" question was particularly stupid.

I'm still working so I was planning on putting most of my stimulus check in savings.

I used to watch Game Grumps so yeah I'm aware.

Never really cared about the fact or saw it as an issue.

All this "LOL there's no way Biden will win" is reminding me of how people were like "LOL there's no way Trump will win!"

I hope BotW does a good amount of things differently from the first game.

But yes it taking a more weird, quirky direction like Link's Awakening or Majora's Mask would be nice.

Personally, I loved the DS game, since at that time it was a long time since we saw any kind of 2D mario platformer (last one before that was Super Mario World, not counting Yoshi games). It did bring things that none of the old games had like wall-jumping, the mega shroom and tiny shroom, and even did what yoshi's Island did and had super version of regular enemies. It did some other stuff I think

I did also really like the Wii game. the Wii version was what brought back the Koopalings (last time they were seen was Superstar Saga), the graphical jump from DS to Wii was bigger than later graphical jumps, and the Wii version was the first to introduce 4-person multiplayer.

The Wii U game was when the NSMB was starting to get really stale for me (I skipped the 3DS version). used the Koopalings again, didn't really add as much fresh ideas as the DS or even Wii game. It mostly reused the Wii version's soundtrack outside a couple tracks I think. I was also starting to get tired of them still using the same world themes in the game (grass, desert, water, ice, etc.)

Genesis sound wasn't very good, and the Sonic team are about the only ones who bothered to work around it.

I'd say Konami handled it well with Contra: Hard Corps and Castlevania: Bloodlines.

I wouldn't be suprised if there were other examples of actually good genesis music, but I haven't explored much of the Genesis' library so I can't really think of any other examples.

Eh, I like MMX3. It's the weakest of the first X legacy collection but I'd take it over any of the games on the second collection.

My biggest gripes with MMX3 were how unnecessary the ride armors were and how you have no clue where to find but and Byte (at least I don't think there is). Also it's BS how you can't get the gold armor in the final level if you collect one of those chip upgrades.

I don't really mind the difficulty of X3 tbh. I've played the a decent amount of times and can get through it relatively well.
