right, and then they say "well bernie has done nothing to stop it, he doesn't ever address it, he encourages it"

and you link them to clips or quotes of him explicitly saying he denounced all negative behaviour and not to do it

and the response is some variation of "well it's not enough" "he doesn't actually mean it though" etc

hell if you're saying it's unfair for them to drop, was it "fair" for them to be in the race splitting Biden in the first place? the one imbalance I'd accept complaining about would be Warren still existing - but again there's also still Bloomberg in the race and he even beat her down to 4th place

i mean, i think any non-ranked choice voting system isn't "fair" really, so, yeah. i'm not happy warren has to make the choice of staying in or not if it means siphoning progressive votes, but pete and amy had to make the same exact choice and i don't think they should have had to either!

Like FFD said I feel like this is just politics.

If Sanders needs to rely on people splitting the vote four ways to win, he has other issues in his campaign. Plus the most viable of those candidates stayed in on Super Tuesday and did better almost across the board than the liberal spoiler of Warren. Like Bloomberg probably took more votes from Biden than Warren did from Sanders.

Sanders just got beat yesterday. Sucks, but it is what it is.

if everything were on a totally even playing field, it'd just be politics. people can choose when to drop out, who to endorse, etc.

but it feels like it's not an even playing field, because one side ("the establishment") has way more powerful people on their side, more money, and just in general they have a perception that has been widely cultivated that they are the "normal, sane" option vs the "radical" option, and etc

to me i think the issue is that the electorate is not made up of entirely informed voters. in an ideal world, every voter is judging every candidate by looking at their policies, records, etc, watching debates/inteviews. if these endorsements mean that a bunch of uninformed voters say "oh, well CNN is saying biden's the frontrunner now, he was with obama so he must be good, and isn't bernie sanders a socialist? i guess i'll vote biden" then that feels unfair because that means the voltron-ing is trying to take advantage of those uninformed voters

though if you're right about biden having no money and no ground game then my perspective could be wrong. though i know there are pacs or whatever spending millions on campaigns to make bernie look worse, even if they're not directly supporting biden.

i think tony's argument makes a lot more sense if you replace the word "rigged" with "feels very unfair"

is it rigged that all the moderates drop out and endorse on the same day? debateable. does it feel unfair? yes. and it's understandable to feel very dejected about how unfair it feels.

people have different definitions of what exactly counts as rigging

but i don't think anyone has said that endorsements are rigging

the moderate establishment machine all working together is certainly something, but i'm not sure the exact definition of the phenomena

it gets more blurry in other cases

for example, in 2016 when superdelegates were a thing, all news sites and media started to show counts with superdelegates after the first primaries, so they'd report like hillary is at 500 bernie is at 50 before super tuesday and make it look like it was already over to an unobservant viewer. to me, that felt like rigging. but you might say that unless there's explicit breaking of rules, it's not rigging, just misleading.

i mean, if you had ranked choice voting they wouldn't all need to drop out

and warren wouldn't have to make a decision about if staying hurts the progressive movement either

man i remember all those "moderate blob" memes from when that one news channel put sanders numbers against all the moderates together

and people were joking like "that's not how it works"

but the moderates really are trying to form that blob now

and i'm definitely worried about it

it sounds to me like warren is trying to play the "i can actually get things done" card, which i know is the card people like klobuchar and etc have been playing from the start. the thing is the reason they are playing that card is because they are willing to compromise and not push for anything too "radical", whereas with warren she still claims to want these big bold changes, so i'm a little unsure how she's able to get things done in a way bernie can't? but i'm an outsider and not super informed. won't republicans and etc push back against her own m4a/student debt/etc bills the same way they will push against his? the impression i got is that the whole point of bernie's campaign is to create a strong enough revolution of the people that the politicans *have* to listen and can't just fight against every new plan.

my view of warren, as a naive person, is that i do believe she is 100% on the side of progressives and i really like her and would be delighted if she was president of the US, i just think she's more willing than bernie to play the political "game", and unfortunately that means doing things like ultimately accepting this super pac money, going on the attack, and just, y'know, not being as anti-establishment. if she feels she has to "play by the rules" to get anywhere, then i can't fault her for it, the system makes people conform if they want success. but definitely disappointing to see certain things. especially when bernie is currently leading in delegates and polls even though he didn't conform in that way.

well that's the thing, it starts off relatively serious because it does give real reasons why people might dislike 1 to 5, but then you reach 6 and 7 and it just gives up and only lists positives and says the only reason you dislike them is because of how good they are and that you don't actually dislike them and that what it says about you is you actually love them

so it's inconsistent

this article is stupid as hell

like, i don't dislike ff7, but if i did, i'd be pissed that this article doesn't even try to say anything about why

"ff7 is your least favourite ff because its so great and you love it so much that it determined your identity and you love it so much that you know the lyrics to all the songs by heart"

"ff6 is your least favourite ff because it has such deep complex themes and you wish you could name your daughter celes because you love it so much"

4
5-8

If this is just a screen space thing I need someone to tell me now.

i'm not really sure what you mean but yes there's 8 episodes. 5 to 8 aren't special. must be a "screen space thing" with whatever you're looking at.

Not really familiar with this case so not commenting on Depp in particular, but there are plenty of relationships where both people are abusive.

(And most feminists would definitely not agree with the idea that men cant be victims of abuse).

maybe a stupid place to ask, but if you had to pick between this game and darkest dungeon, which do you prefer?

they're both great, but slay the spire is a bit more of a "just one more run" roguelike where you can have lots of fun in a casual way, while darkest dungeon is a bit more serious and kind of stressful. darkest dungeon requires a bit more understanding and mastery of the game systems, as well as more planning/management, i think.

(and i prefer slay the spire just because it's easier to play and more addictive to me)
