It increases both her damage dealt and damage taken; the penalty for incoming damage is reduced by raising Terra's stamina. If successful, Steal doesn't consume Locke's turn. Instead of EVERY enemy having a stealable item and making the player want to rob everyone, only humanoid targets carry items. There are no missable theft-exclusive items. Rather than Edgar's tools being heavily front-loaded and largely redundant (i.e. Drill vs. Chainsaw), they're mroe spread out with more diverse effects. Ditto for Blitz. The Bushido meter now actually fills at an acceptable speed and the ones that deal physical damage do so based on the power of Cyan's equipped weapon rather than not caring about it. Tools, Blitz, Bushido, and Throw are all now actually affected by the blind status whereas they were not before (even with the evade bug fixed). Setzer's slots are de-rigged so that they are now purely skill-based than RNG. A losing spin now heals more HP and is a poor man's version of Banon's health command. As much as Deschain promotes it as such, that's not exactly what it is. Putting the original script in Brave New World would break it since a lot of it would be completely inaccurate and a lot of relevant information would no longer be present. What Deschain did was take a text dump of BNW's script, look for any line that might possibly offend a die-hard purist, and replace it with something bland and boring like Ted Woolsey would write. It's quite literally Brave New World with a personality-ectomy. We seek to avoid the "difficulty hack" label, though, because I feel that the prevalence of "kaizo"-style hacks has largely stigmatized the medium as a whole. Brave New World is difficult, but it's <i>fair</i> difficulty, or at least that's the aim. Anyway, a few of y'all have caught wind of the fact that version 2.0 - which itself has been in the works for 2 years now - was officially released at the new year on January 1st, and one of you mentioned that I should make a thread about it here, so... here we are!
