When people say Crossbell and Cold Steel take place simultaneously and spoil one another it's really usually just Ao so I think you can make the case either way.

Not that it matters, but it's been in the GameFAQs top 100 for 880 days! Plus it's the only mobile game that actually got into the contest. I dunno if it'd be particularly popular, but the player base seems to actually like it a lot more than the FEH player base does at least. I haven't heard people talk positively about FEH for a long time...

I still have it losing to Journey, but it winning wouldn't totally shock me.

Finished replaying KH1 yesterday. I was really surprised how basic it was! A lot of the worlds are kind of half-assed, and a bunch of the cutscenes feel shorter than they should be (or lack voices for no apparent reason). It still had its cool and epic stuff, particularly in the second half, but the first few hours of the game seriously aren't good!

For the record, I think Persona 5 is going to be clearly stronger than Persona 4, and Horizon held up well against Persona 5 (and Breath of the Wild for that matter).

Where did it hold up well against BotW? I think this is the only poll they shared.

CS1 feels very different from Sky 1. Not sure what xp's talking about there!

Sky 2 is a lot more well liked than Sky 1. It's a better game in general, in almost every respect (still low budget with lots of reused locations, though). The formula is similar in some ways, but it's far more focused. Closer to the Grancel stuff in 1, I'd say. The villains especially are a lot better here. Sky 1's thing with all the villains turning out to be mind controlled was the dumbest shit.

Beated Mr. Robot S3. Big improvement over S2! I wasn't necessarily super happy with the direction the plot went in all the time, but the stuff that was happening was so exciting and the presentation was so good that it didn't really matter. The fifth and sixth episodes of the season were probably the best episodes of the show so far, and the final episode was a great conclusion to the season. It was funny, earlier on in the season, just as I was like "where are they going with this Joanna plotline? It's not very interesting." they went and killed her off (which, honestly, they could've even done during S2... I guess the main thing that made this season good was how interesting the villains were? I wasn't always into the main characters' choices, but the story made them interesting regardless. Like, I wasn't into the Elliot fighting against Mr. Robot dynamic this season, really, and Darlene was a bit too much on the FBI's side, but them being put in such bad situations and having to find a way out was still good. At least they finally seem to be putting Elliot vs. Mr. Robot behind them now! Which they kinda did for a bit in S2, and then went back on that. ;_; The pacing is excellent too. Way more happens in 10 episodes of S3 than 12 episodes of S2, despite S2's episodes being longer on average.

Anyway, S4 should be a good conclusion if it keeps up the quality! Will have to see if it can manage that.

I probably played Sonic games maybe an hour as a kid at friends' houses and such? I always wanted to try more Sonic games though, so I got the Mega Collection on the PS2 when it came out. Sonic 1 was pretty fun, but it felt like the games got more complicated as they went along, to their detriment. Wasn't into 3&K at all.

I wanted to like it. Estelle and Joshua are fantastic characters. But I found myself getting bored by the gameplay pretty fast and the rest of the cast didn't do anything to make me want to keep playing.

The two mains almost carried First Chapter for me anyways, but weren't quite enough to make me stay.

One thing that might help is that they added a fast forward to the PC versions of all the Sky games. The slowness of the battle system was my biggest problem with the pre-Cold Steel Trails games in general.

I'm never sure about P4G. A lot of the new stuff is great, particularly the new gameplay, but some of the new scenes kinda suck and bring the game down.

SMG2 > P4G > Nier Automata > ME2 > Trails SC

Hmm, I've played like 78 of the bracket's games already, so there isn't a whole ton remaining if I wanted to play a game per division. Let's see my most wanted to play for each...

Div 1: I've played all but three of these (MHW/Sekiro/Halo), and I guess MHW's the one I'm most interested in? I'd be pretty surprised if I ever played it though.

Div 2: Again, played most of them. Horizon I'm interested in though, and I have a friend I could borrow it from.

Div 3: Definitely want to play Spider-man sometime.

Div 4: I own FTL and XCOM 2. FTL's one I want to get to.

Div 5: New Vegas has always looked cool. I might go back to Witcher 3 with mods someday too.

Div 6: KH3, but I have to get through the story so far first, and I only just started KH1... Slay the Spire's on my list too.

Div 7: I'm sure I'll get around to playing VLR eventually... (played 999 long ago).

Div 8: I might actually try FFXIV this year. Hope that patch that fixes the pre-Heavensward endgame comes out in the next few months! I'm pretty interested in Divinity OS 2 as well, though I'd probably play 1 first.

Man, that was harder than I thought. Playing all these games would really be something.

Also, you may want to tighten the requirements for new rule 1. There were already 155 songs with 5+ votes at the end of last year's noms, and it might be a self-fulfilling prophecy where everyone now guns for the 5-vote threshold and you end up with more than 192 songs that are "guaranteed" a spot, especially with the likely influx of new people this year.

That would just mean nominations ending a bit early, which wouldn't be terrible

Fire Force beated. Not a good show! The animation was amazing, but that was just about all it had going for it. For the first half, the pacing is way too fast. Things just happen like crazy all the time, and arcs that feel like they should take half a dozen episodes end in two. The first couple episodes (where the show is still episodic) are real good, but everything falls apart once the story begins. The pace slows down in the second half, but it gets *really* slow. It's a shame they couldn't have redirected some of the time from the second half to the first. The story kinda sucks, and none of the villains are interesting in the slightest. I wish it could've just stayed episodic the whole way through, so the story wouldn't have gotten in the way of the fun action. The good guy cast isn't the best either. Shinra, Obi, and Hinawa are pretty good, but the others aren't used that well. I feel like Arthur gets too much screentime, and Tamaki's just an awful concept. Oh well.

Camelot's often considered the hardest singularity, so if you can beat that, you should be able to beat the future ones. You'll be getting a Saber welfare servant in March, too, so that might help a bit, though maybe not. This year's pretty good in terms of welfare servants, so you'll get quite a few.

For free servants, Euryale and Hans are both pretty good to level. Hans is great at support, and Euryale is awesome against male servants (who make up most of camelot)

Up to ep 7 of Mr. Robot S3. Some pretty exciting stuff happening! I'm kind of on team Whiterose, so her succeeding while Elliot fails is pretty fun.

Xenoblade is the most robbed game in this contest. It's high profile HD remake for the Switch is going to release like two to three months after this contest ends. It's going to be decent by this contest's standards, and will run it trouble later, but not yet.

I have it winning its division! Could be a little crazy, but I feel like everything else there has reasons to underperform.

I don't think the Xenoblade remake matters unless some info drops about it before or during the contest.

Rumors have a release date being announced soon for a release in the Spring, though none of that's for sure.

F/GO: Fifth Singularity cleared. That was a long one. Pretty good though I think it may have gone on like one node too long story-wise. Onto the Sixth which apparently is where shit gets real both in battle and the story. I'll find about battles soon I guess but the story definitely just got real... and a lot darker!

Also I'm doing much better on my amassing of rolls for the desperation push in a few days. Already at ~25 and I think I can get like 15 more just in Summon Tickets the day of. That would still only be a 25% chance but that's back in business as far as I'm concerned. And if I can make good progress in this new Singularity or even manage to clear it in time that'll be another decent haul.

Yeah, E Pluribus Unum is all great until the end, where it loses momentum. Alas.

Camelot will be a bit tough! You'll have a few strong Saber bosses to take care of, along with a strong Lancer and Archer.

Really surprised Halo Reach got an 8 seed. I thought every game in that series after 3 was nonexistent here. Reach hasn't been in a single poll outside of the 'looking forward to' thing every semi-high profile release gets,

It just got released on PC. That's probably what brought it back into the public eye
