I'm pretty casual, but my dad had dozen of Zappa albums and CDs. I had never bothered to listen to Watermelon in Easter Hay before. I was just watching some Youtube video of two dudes comparing Telecasters and Strats while jamming and thought to myself, "Wow, this is awful. I guess I just don't like guitar music anymore." Watermelon in Easter Hay has changed my mind.

I liked Son of Mr. Green Jeans, Montana, Catholic Girls, and Billy the Mountain.
I always felt like Watermelon sounded like it was a lost Pink Floyd song (probably why I love it so much), but it does really show how solid of an underrated guitar player Zappa is.

Montanta and Catholic Girls would make it in my top 10. Montana being another great guitar song from Zappa.

I have all his albums on vinyl, my dad collected them. My favorite is Zoot Allures
Nice! Wind Up Workin' In A Gas Station is my favorite off that one. Wish my dad was a fan of Zappa, the only vinyl I inherited from him were Elvis, Van Halen, and Olivia Newton John, lol.

I like his music, can't really name any off the top of my head but when I was learning music theory my teacher would reference Zappa's music quite frequently. So much of his music is jam packed and I heard he was a crazy perfectionist... It's hard to imagine what it would've been like as part of his band
My one friend who took a music class in college was referenced a lot to Zappa as well. I seem to hear that from people who take those classes alot, which is pretty cool.

If I'm being honest? Kinda yeah. I don't have that whole attitude of rap is crap like I did when I was a kid, but it kinda sucks when I talk to people about popular music, it's always rap. I like some of it, but the stuff I have to hear on the charts is mostly terrible.

When I graduated, rock, rap, and pop were all equally popular so it was easy to talk about any genre, but now unless your circle listen to what you do, it's a lot of rap.

Nah. I think once the curve flattens, opening up some businesses slowly would be the best idea. Doing that can allow the hospitals to not get too overcrowded. If there's another spike though, we will probably need another shutdown.

Favorite albums? Songs? Zappa has so many good albums and songs that I always discover some new good ones when talking about him.

Anyways, here's some of my favs

Albums:

  1. Overnight Sensation
  2. You Are What You Is
  3. Apostrophe
  4. Joe's Garage
  5. One Size Fits All

Songs:

  1. Watermelon in Easter Hay
  2. Peaches en Regalia
  3. Joe's Garage
  4. Flakes
  5. Camarillo Brillo

Except for Watermelon, it's hard to make a top 5 for Zappa cause he has way too many great tunes. What say you guys?

I work in a grocery store and I wouldn't had agreed with this, but too many people don't take this seriously and won't even wear a mask.

Well then Biden (or Bernie) I'd put a good 99.9% odds of beating Pence.

Only way I see Biden winning, imo.

As an American, maybe. It's going to be hard to top 9/11, but this is definitely something that could do it. If we get some of the worst case scenarios, then I think it might be looked at as a bigger deal.

I will say though, just as 9/11, the US is going to be a much different country when this is all said and done.
