Yeah, like I just had a side quest in CrossCode where there were 4 trees along the path that I had to get to, so a lot of the quest was navigating the terrain to try to figure out how to reach them.

That sort of thing is interesting. I had to think about it.

90% of xenoblades sidequests my 7 year old son could have accomplished without ever playing the game before. Go to the monster with an exclamation mark over its head. Hit the fight button, sit there for a minute and keep doing it.

Total garbage. The only category of side quests that consistently were cool were the elite monster battles. Nearly Everything else was brain dead and boring.

Felt like a giant power gap between end game side quests. I was level 80 and all the side quests seemed to be level 90+ which were unhittable. So I just beat the game.

considered new game + but noped hard when it said side quests wouldnt carry over. Screw that.

I had serious issues with the story, mostly around the final boss suddenly being a raging ass out of the blue but I did like the world building. It felt like it took big swings and even though it whiffed a lot at least it wasnt boring.

Final rating: 8/10. Hard to go lower on a game I ended up playing for 70 hours, but of those 70 hours how often was I actually having fun vs just doing things?

Remove 80% of the side quests and I think its a great game. Unfortunately they were so tedious that they really brought everything down.

I downloaded CrossCode because it had great reviews and groaned when I got to the first few side quests, and was shocked when I realized quite a few of them were actually interesting. It reminded me side quests can be something other than kill 15 wolves.

Kill 15 wolves quests need to die in the video game fires and never return

Hopped back in Amazon spreads and it dumped another 100 points.

Looking like we are going to try to replicate lightning in a bottle tomorrow. If this works then I have no idea what to think. It means I can make money literally regardless of where the underlying asset moves.

I feel like the more I learn about options trading the more confused I get

so this morning I bought 5 Amazon Call spreads for $2500 total They were

$3250 Calls- Bought
$3260 Calls - sold

So Amazon ends the week above $3260 I bank another $2500

Amazon then tanked so I nervously put in a sell order.

I ended up making $250 despite the fact that my calls were a good 100 points out of the money. The ratio between them just converged to $5.50 and my order executed.

what kind of crazy wizardry is this.

Yep. When in doubt just split the middle. The bid ask spread for major stocks near the strike price should be within a few cents of each other. If the spread is more than 10 cents or so I think you are doing it wrong.

You can want to trade stuff with huge spreads but seriously don't if you don't know what you are doing

I suppose it's hard to go broke selling puts in profitable companies. Let's just hope Harry doesn't end up selling a lot of puts in a company that goes bankrupt or worse, selling calls in Tesla last week.

Selling naked calls is stupid enough that it shouldnt even be remotely related to selling puts.

and selling puts in companies that go bankrupt really isnt any more likely then buying stock in companies that go bankrupt.

There are a million ways to go broke with options, but selling puts of big name stocks is not one of them

So it looks like there you would be selling a $1 put option for $11.85 each which doesnt really do much for you because there isnt very much intrinsic value that far out.

you want to sell an option closer to what it is trading for. Say $11

In case anyone is going to try what Im trying, do be careful of the bid ask spread.

Twice now if I had just hit confirm without adjusting my limit I would have bought a position that literally could not make money. As in it would have lost money regardless of where the stock went. Got to be careful with those low volume options.

The one thing that sticks out to me as someone who doesn't trade options and knows very little about BBBY is that the spread between the bid and ask on that looks quite large. Is a 20% gap between the bid and ask a normal thing for a put spread like this?

Yeah option spreads can get huge, especially for options that are far out or in the money. Also consider that because this is a spread it really is two simultaneous options so the spreads add on to each other.

usually its kind of a game to see if you can get a trade in the middle.

i think I would offer $1 per contract

so my break even after commission would be $11.47. If the stock ends below that I make money, above that I lose money.

but that just feels like a massive gulf from where the stock currently is if it is priced appropriately.

Im just not interested in SOLO. I think the electric vehicle market is in a bubble, and they are in the category of companies making no money currently.

Its got to be one or the other for me, either a sector I like or a company I like.
