capture your browser window, drag it around / resize it in the obs preview view thing until it looks how you want it to. might have to set the overall recording resolution in options to match the size of the video

if you find yourself doing this sort of thing a lot I recommend sharex, it's a program that can do screenshots/gifs by just clicking and dragging a box on your screen. has a bunch of bonus features if you want to like automatically uploading them to a hosting site & copying link to clipboard, or you can just have it save them all locally or whatever. super helpful program and probably one of the first things I'd install on a new computer

If the game doesnt give you the right relics/cards, Time Keeper is a brick wall.

the same is kinda true for a lot of fights in the game... time keeper is at least near/at the end so you have time to make an actual functioning deck. pretty sure my leading cause of death is act2 elites. they're strong but also early enough in the game that you often aren't very strong yourself.

I still don't have asc20 clear on silent because I have no idea how to actually kill things as that character, you just sit there dealing little pieces of poison damage for 20 turns and then die

once you beat act3 as ironclad/silent/defect at least once each, you can unlock a 4th act that comes after act3 and is a massive difficulty bump with a true end boss sort of thing at the end of it

your damage dealt is your score. it gives a little breakdown of where you got your score from at the end of any run (success or failure) but it's mostly just an arbitrary number since most of the things that give you score are weird stuff. I personally wouldn't think too hard about it.

I play a fair bit of japanese style mahjong, which is sort of like rummy (and really although it's tiles you could easily just turn the tiles into cards with no real change to the game) but that's about it

I played during most of highsschool and for a bit after graduating but then just stopped suddenly and that was that. I've gone back for a few games here and there every year or so when various people I know from elsewhere say they play it but I consider myself as not really playing it anymore. I'm not even exactly sure why I stopped, it's weird since I don't think it was a reaction to a specific event but I also remember it as a distinct cut-off rather than gradually becoming less interested.

was a fun game while it lasted, though. living through some of the absolute jank in the early days of that game has given me great stories to tell to people who only started playing it a few years ago

I saw this in my recommended videos earlier but the thumbnail said wrong warp and I didn't feel liek trying to comprehend a wrong warp for a game I didn't know much about

but it's a nice video and ultimately the mechanics of it seem relatively simple, if a bit annoying to make use of sometimes

With a GTX 1060 and i7 8750h I thought Id be fine, but it can barely hit 60 FPS on max settings :(

could always turn the settings down a bit? it's a nice looking game sure but there is a lot of very cool stuff in there beyond just the visuals and it would be a shame to miss out. I played it on a laptop with way worse hardware than that and didn't really have issues, though I had to turn some of the fancier effects off entirely

I keep hearing it was awesome, I invested like 5 hours into it on the X1X but maybe I just suck. I struggled to get into it, I kept crash landing on the first area and rage quit.

make good use of the "match velocity" button. everything's moving around constantly in the game so you don't really have a good frame of reference without doing this. best way to land somewhere is to get nearish to it, then hold the match velocity button until you have 0 velocity relative to it. Then you can move around in that frame of reference (think of the planet as stationary and you as moving) for the final landing adjustments.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you don't need to make super clean andings. if you hit too hard you'll die but your spaceship can survive surprisingly high impact landings as well as landing on its side/front/top with only minor damage, which you can then get out and repair in like 5 seconds

As I mentioned earlier grammatical gender is a concept attached onto the language by linguists. It doesn't have to do with the modern way we use gender. A word in Spanish having a masculine or feminine ending does not mean it is related to that gender in the modern social sense of the word. Again see feminino.

I can't speak for spanish (though I imagine it's at least similar) but in french you also have feminine/masculine nouns. And they clearly have something to do with gender, because if you use an adjective to describe a noun, the adjective ending often changes based on the gender of the noun. and it changes in the same way it would if you were using that adjective to describe a female/male person as well

My thing is there's barely anything that matches going through a simple coop campaign anymore. Either the gameplay is just dealing with a shitload of enemies or you've both got to level up gear and equipment and find loot so you're never really on the same playing field unless you both start at the same time or you both basically treat it as your one game.

I have a friend who I play path of exile with every so often when there's a new league and we manage to do it by basically doing this. Start together, don't play without the other person, and don't trade with anyone else until late endgame.

basically turns a big MMO sort of game into a nice compartmentalized co-op campaign game

Chapter 9 is fucked

Took me 3600 deaths over 10 1/2 hours

I don't think it was that much harder than some of the more difficult C sides, or 7B. it was just really long

anyways TC I would say it's not super hard and you should give it a shot. That said I have played a lot of platformers so maybe not the best reference point. What it does have going for it in terms of more beginner platformer players, though:

1) Very gradual difficulty curve, it starts out quite simple and eases you in
2) Frequent checkpoints so you don't lose a ton of progress on death (and no sort of game over / life count mechanics)
3) Many of the harder sections are for optional pickups so you can skip them if they're too tough
4) A generally very positive story/atmosphere about overcoming your limitations that fits pretty well into the attitiude of anyone struggling to beat it

I have a few friends who played it as basically their first platformer ever and while I won't pretend they had an easy time or anything, they all enjoyed it and were able to clear it. It's the sort of game that really teaches you everything you need to know to do well at it and then makes you feel like some crazy pro when it all comes together for you and you clear some hard screen you were stuck on

I havent played through it but IIRC they give you options to adjust the difficulty in different ways

oh yeah they have some assist mode features too, ranging from the rather extreme (infinite airdashes) to small little helpful things (slowing the game down slightly to make timing windows easier). You can turn any of them on or off at any time too, it's really nice

I think he is relatively right though in terms of like, the general public facing side of society. I dont know who put it there, but I know that anybody who demanded that it be taken down would be tarred as a troublemaker, and anyone who tried to put a SUPPORT TRUMP poster up next to it would be lectured about how politics are inappropriate at work. This is true even though I think at least a third of my colleagues are Trump supporters.

But those ebooks are from an official source, not illegitimate scans, and they still have a lending limit. They aren't reproducing content limitlessly. That's where the real problem is.

the internet archive is an actual registered library, and it's not like their book copies are stolen from anyone... they're actual books that were bought by or donated to the project of having an online library.

also they've said the lending limits are only taken down temporary because of the virus. which I personally think is reasonable. though I imagine some people may be worried that they will be reluctant to put the limits back in place afterward

the counter argument is that it is the same function as a regular physical library, expanded for the modern era especially in recent months where people can't actually go to libraries since thy're mostly closed. alternatively, the counter argument is that they're providing a valuable preservation service for a large amount of data, some of which may be very culturally important

TC isn't really misrepresenting anything, this is what they are doing, the question is just whether you consider that a bad thing or not

generally not, but it's not like that's the most complicated one either. for what it's worth, if that effect were printed on a card nowadays, it would be worded very differently; that card is quite old and was made before they decided a lot of the wording/phrasing conventions used nowadays. Its modern text would be

Whenever an opponent casts a creature spell that doesn't share a color with a creature you control, counter that spell unless that player pays X, where X is its converted mana cost.

whether this makes more sense or not is up to you, I guess. I personally find it a lot easier to read since it's what I'm used to

I don't think cleanse is nearly as bad as invoke prejudice. in terms of mtg setting / lore, especially back then, black's end of the colour pie was all the "unholy" creatures. zombies, vampires, skeletons, that sort of stuff. and you can see that's what most of the art is too. then white is sorta their enemy because they've got the paladins and the holy powers and whatnot, and at that point I tihnk cleanse is a pretty bad naming choice for the card but it's understandable

invoke prejudice on the other hand is like... art that has abolsutely nothing to do with anything mtg and they could have put literally any other picture in thta place instead but they somehow ended up with that one

progenitus is just such a funny card, I don't even care how poorly games go if sometimes I get to play a card with protection from everything. the entire deck was just ways to ramp it out and ways to boost power by 1 so you can kill in 2 hits instead of 3

vesperia, xillia1, about 80-90% of xillia2 (in that order)

vesperia was a legitimately fun game. xillia1 was fun only because I was playing it with friends. xillia2 is so offensively awful that even playing with friends couldn't save it
