This was also my experience. But if he doesn't want an actual relationship with her, this shouldn't even really matter. If he's not emotionally invested then who cares if she lies to him. I see it more as, if he fooled around, would she do the same thing to him that she does to her ex. How deep of a connection does she need before she gets invested?

Do you use social media TC? I'm wondering if she was browsing social media and randomly seen you, then just wanted someone to play with, so she figured fuck it.

A lot of this stuff is dramatically effected by the why now? Why after years? Were you always in her mind or did something just spark her memory? Did you ask why she decided to hit you up now? That would probably be the first thing I ask.

I have a really low social media presence. I only have an old Facebook account that I haven't looked at in years and the profile isn't even my real name, so the only people that knows it's me are my close friends. So she had to have just up and decided on the spot to contact me again out of the blue. Luckily for her, I don't change my phone number.

That's the thing. From the way she talked about her ex, it doesn't sound like she hangs out with him. From what I gathered, she's actively avoiding him and have almost nothing good to say about him, yet, in the same breath, refers to him as her friend and admits to e-stalking him through social media. I recall telling her that he doesn't sound like a friend and that's where we had the conversation I brought up with Lost_All_Senses above where she went on about girls being extra attached to guys they've had sex with. Her way of justifying this weird fascination with someone she consistently have nothing but bad things to say about.

Neh. It's too much and underwhelming. It's just those seemed to be the things to complicate stuff.

But come to think of it. If she stays hooked on her ex. Maybe you could hit it with no strings. Cause she'd have her ex to lean on if she felt a certain way about it. Who knows. Nothing in this game is even close to guaranteed. You don't sound desperate at all, just seems easier to not take the chance.

Ah. Fair enough.

Even if its no strings, I just don't feel like getting into something like that with her. Kind of feels like I'd be taking advantage of her, knowing how emotionally vulnerable she tends to be. Or, at least. how I last knew her. It reminds me of another conversation I had with her (also regarding her ex) where she told me women become even more obsessed to a guy after she's had sex with him. I can't for speak everyone about how true that may or may not be, but it sounds like something that might apply to her, considering how she was going on about it.

What's the baggage that you keep dancing around?

Where to start? Well when we would talk at work, if she wasn't trying to convince me to hang out with her, she would always go on about her ex. How he's a shitty person who cheated on her and stalked her after they broke up and yet, she still considers him a friend for some reason and keep tabs on him via social media.
She was very cryptic about things like her age. All I know is she's supposedly older than me, and if so, it can't be by much.
She never went into complete detail, but it sounded like her home life wasn't great and it didn't help that people gave her a hard time at work too. She had a tendency of just blowing up on people over very small things at times. Sometimes she'll be talkative one minute, then suddenly flip to annoyed and distant on the fly.
She talks about how she hates her mother/mom's side of the family quite a bit and it caused her to have a distrust for White people (She's mixed. Puerto Rican and White iirc)

These just seem like red flags to me.

My friend was present when the phone call went down. He's been spending all day telling me that "She wants to fuck". I'm not doubting that, the thing is, considering what I know about her, I'm not sure if I want that. She's cute. But, at least when I was working with her, she had some things going on. And some pretty clear trust issues, even with me, someone she liked being around. Even at the time, she was always asking me to hang out with her. We went out to lunch once outside of work, but other than that, I've just always felt like it would probably be in both of our best interest in the long run not to get into anything serious with her.

She was a co-worker from a couple of years ago. I haven't seen or talked to her since she quit that job, but I remember she use to like talking to me because I was nice to her. She some baggage going on in her personal life and the other people we worked with thought she was weird and junk because of it.
Now I get a call from her and she's a bit too happy to hear from me. And she's going over, and remembering things I've discussed with her about myself years ago. And she's saying things like how she feels "Safe" around me and how I'm "Not like other guys she's known," and that we should meet up.

I appreciate that she'd like to link up again, but am I wrong for finding this just a tad bit creepy?

I use to work at an AMC movie theater in a fairly affluent part of the city. Of course, we made minimum wage. The work got pretty hard sometimes, but what really rubbed me the wrong way was how on every major holiday, the entire mall we worked in would be completely dead except the movie theater.

Needless to say, I don't miss that job.

I'll accept both! Looking back at some of the posts I use to make back in my middle school-high school days, I'm so glad I grew out of how I use to be like. From narrow-minded opinions to a juvenile, edgy sense of humor. In a way, Gamefaqs kind of helped with that. As far as talking to complete strangers on the internet go, its really been the only place I visit for that. Seeing different opinions and views on here really aided me as I got older.
