I'm pretty sure you can go stroll through sections not seeing it at all while others had to hide. The Alien is controlled by 2 separate AI. One is the actual alien, which doesn't know where you are unless it sees you. The other is kinda like a "brain" for it, where it slowly feeds hints about your location to it, based upon what you do. Noises you make, places it knows you keep hiding in, ect. So, the more you play a certain way, the more adept it becomes at locating you. --- |
