It got passed off to a different studio. Sucks, cause it was one of my guilty pleasure animes.

One of my favorite shows to rewatch. If you enjoy it, I also suggest watching "Black Books"

I'm not even completely sure how the alien is scripted. I'm pretty sure you can go stroll through sections not seeing it at all while others had to hide.

I think even the first proper encounter can be different from player to player.

The Alien is controlled by 2 separate AI. One is the actual alien, which doesn't know where you are unless it sees you. The other is kinda like a "brain" for it, where it slowly feeds hints about your location to it, based upon what you do. Noises you make, places it knows you keep hiding in, ect.

So, the more you play a certain way, the more adept it becomes at locating you.

The jittery cutscene was a technical issue that should have been patched out shortly after release. Make sure you are updated if playing on a console.

As someone who has suffered near constant back pain for years due to a work injury, I would take the no back pain in an instant. When you cant even stand up or get out of bed in the morning without being in pain, it just sucks.

My grandmother who smoked a pack a day for about 40 years was able to quit cold turkey at the age of 55. If she can do it after that, anyone can. Believe in yourself.

I had to be up at 3 AM to go to work; went to bed at my normal time (9 PM)..

Damn people started with guns and fireworks at 9, and went until about 2 AM. Needless to say, work was not fun this morning.
