The reason the game thinks you haven't caught the Pokmon is really stupid and would be easy to fix.

Yup, it's the dumbest bug they ever made.

The nearby list checks if you own the Pokemon by searching for the name in the code.

Old pokemon in the code are listed as: WEEDLE.

When a shadow forme is added, they change the name to WEEDLE_NORMAL and WEEDLE_SHADOW.

And, you guess it. The game sees your old Weedles and knows you have not caught a WEEDLE_NORMAL yet, so shows it as uncaught on the nearby radar. Once you've caught a 'new' Weedle with the WEEDLE_NORMAL tag, it'll disappear from the nearby list once again.

You also cannot trade them to Let's Go until they're added to the whitelist. Dumb ass coding.

In Super Smash Bros. Pikachu only ever says the "chu" part of its name when you use its neutral special (Thunder Jolt) and Final Smash (Volt Tackle), which are both activated using the same button.

Instead of removing trading to evolve they could make it optional. Once the Pokmon reaches a certain level it'll evolve but you can trade it to make it evolve sooner.

They could do the same for most stone evolutions too, a high level Gloom would evolve in to Vileplume at night or Belossom in the day but you could use the leaf/sun stone at any time.

Only one I've played from that list is the Dark Alliance games. Good games. Shame they never made the 3rd, I wanted to fight the Egyptian guys.

The Champions games were good too, especially Return to Arms. Lots of classes to choose from and up to 4 players. The only major problem was that spells deal fixed damage instead of scaling with your stats, which made them way less useful at high levels.

Try one where you only use Deoxys, maybe one of each forme to make it easier...

I guess he could use Stasis to stop it just before it hits the ground to cancel its momentum? It would still cause problems as it enters the atmosphere though, right? The Divine Beasts blasting it probably wouldn't do much either...

I highly doubt they will stick to this policy when people get pissed off they cant get certain pokemon into the new games.

Perhaps you were not around for the Gen 3 fuck up with a lack of connection but it did not go over well and alienated a lot of old fans.

A more recent example would be Pokmon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. There was backlash because a spin-off game didn't have every Pokmon, they had to know doing it in the main series would be worse.

Hopefully they'll at least add the rest in an update, but this is the same company that left the Battle Frontier out of ORAS because "everyone is very busy and young people have various means of entertainment. Using smartphones and other devices they can access a great number of games, so the time they dedicate to a single game is less than in the past."
