the fancier the wallet, the more likely I'd be to consider keeping it whatever the amount
Good point, and along those lines where I found the cash would make a difference too. If I found it on the floor of a welfare office I would turn it in for any amount, while if it was in some posh store like a diamond jeweler or fashion boutique I'm less inclined.

But the question is, at what amount would you not keep the money? It's more about the upper limit.

How much money? (rough equivalent of $1 USD)

Most of us wouldn't think twice about keeping a $1/Pound/etc or 2 we find on the ground. But at some point I think we'd either leave on the ground or drop it off at lost & found, or the police etc. Maybe because you have high moral standards, or maybe because the amount is so big you're scared the owner might come after you if they found out you took it.

Whatever the reason, what amount would you not feel comfortable keeping the money?

If I didn't love my job I'd do it in a heartbeat. If I could take a leave of absence, why not. It's not even a year; reg season is like, 5 months?

Even if you can't miss a game, I'm guessing as long as you're there before the 3rd period ends it counts. Plus half of the games would be in my city, so it's not like I'll always be on the road. As a kicker, my team hasn't done well in the playoffs (if they even make it) so the post-season obligations would be pretty short too.

Not eco friendly. Should use your strength to tear them to shreds and use as compost.

For any nation or terrorist group involved in armed conflict, I would globally decree that I will track/kidnap their leading generals and throw them on an island battle royale style. Last one remaining gets to go home and declared the winner of the conflict.

My hope would be that it would make most military leaders think twice before doing anything.

I said Military leaders so that the fights would be interesting, but could be persuaded to just make it the leaders of countries themselves, in which case I might have just created world peace.

I'm ok with the paper (cardboard) straws if that makes the treehuggers feel better. They work fine, unless you're the type that takes their time drinking, or saves some of it for later. In which case you'll either deal with a soggy straw, or have to use another one, which would double the waste.

What I don't get is that the actual volume & weight of those paper straws is like triple or more than a plastic one, so unless they're actually being used as compost (which I doubt, because ppl are just going to throw them in the trash like regular straws), you're going to be increasing the amount of garbage.

What exactly is the PC way of saying that in terms of pure reproductive biology there are only 2 classes?

I think that's sex.

But something tells me that if you said "There are only 2 sexes" you'll get the same reaction as the guy in the article.

I wouldn't do the OP. First, messing with the timeline could prevent them from doing the work they are known for, robbing humanity of the good they are known for in the first place.

Second, even if your messing didn't affect that, you telling them this will lead to the question: "So, my work is going to be recognized while I'm alive & I get to enjoy the benefits, right?"
And you'll have to tell them they'll die in poverty while people who take their ideas/work will get rich off of it.

Then what about royalty? Not only are they born into a life a privilege, but they literally have the country paying their bills for them. And if they do even a little good with all the time on their hands they're treated like saints.
Then in places like Japan not only do they live that privileged life, but they can "retire" from this "stressful" lifestyle and continue to live off the taxpayers money.

It's just the way it's been for literally thousands of years. At least you can consider the fantasy of marrying into such a family.
