I'm having a hard time with it. I tend to overanalyze everything so that's a problem too.

I have been looking at tutorials and what not but still having a bit of trouble.

For example. I drew a human character but it looks very off when I try to animate it.

edit: And animating is stressing me out. lol. I'm just going to use some of the techniques I learned from doing 3D animation (which is easier than 2d animation imo since you already have all the assets and you just have to manipulate them).

TopicTips for buying a used car?

I know nothing about cars.

The car I'm using has some issues. Most likely the alternator from what I've heard. Buying the parts and paying to get it repaired probably won't cost too much. But it isn't my car so I don't care too much about it. It's my parents car and knowing them, they'll bitch about me using it even if I paid to repair it (which I'll likely do after buying my own car).

Anyways, what are some things to look at when buying a used car? I know absolutely nothing about cars. Until then I'm going to bike to work. Luckily its very close by. My budget for a car is between $2-3000.

I was thinking about buying an original NES. But then I thought about physical emulator consoles. Some even play like 3 consoles in one.

Are they any good? If so, what do you recommend?

I mostly want it for NES games since I already have a SNES, but playing SNES on the same console wouldn't be a bad idea. If it can play Super Famicom games that would be great since I have a game and can't play it on my American SNES.

I hope this isn't considered piracy because I'm actually going to be using my own physical games.

If I remember correctly, I was using Bluehost a few years ago. Thinking about going with them again.

But wanted to know if there are any better ones out there.

I don't think it's that bad that you're mostly just talking about one topic for the time being.
The chemistry will eventually improve to a point that'll make you both comfortable enough to talk about other stuff with ease.
Small steps is the key.

We've been talking for a few months.

The other day that I saw her we didn't talk about the tv show.

I feel like I'm making an excuse for getting super fat because my weight fluctuated a lot but I always managed to get back in shape. But now after a year of antidepressants and eating pretty much the same as I always have, I am super fat. I actually managed to lose weight this year but its not enough and I'm struggling to lose more weight.

You would like for the conversations to shift to deeper topics, right?

Here's the thing that I'm also worried about. If me and her talk about other things, I most likely wouldn't know what to say. It already happens with people at work. Still though, people enjoy being around me at times because I make them laugh and make them feel welcomed. But social I am not.

This is probably true. If she were interested, she'd offer alternatives for when she is free.

She did invite me to hangout with her and a friend recently. But she's busy with work and school, and my work schedule is all over the place. I would obviously prefer to hang out with her alone but haven't gotten the chance to.

You should invest in yourself first.

A lot of people are into passive activities, and those are really hard to talk about and connect with.

Do you have any hobbies? Maybe crafting, cooking, writing, making videos, sports, or whatever. If she's interested in you, I'm sure she wouldn't mind hearing what's going on in your life.

Except video games. Talking to non-gamers about games is near impossible. It's like a foreign language. A lot of the jargon you take for granted has to be explained.

If you're ever really feeling it, ask for her number and/or ask her out.

Edit: Also, Better Call Saul is awesome.

Some of our hobbies are similar like watching TV. lol

And yeah, I already have her number. I'm trying to hang out with her but she's always busy with school and work.

I'm very friendly at work but I'm a quiet person.

I'm interested in a girl and we seem to have things in common. She seems to like me a lot as a friend so that's something.

I'm just worried she'll think I'm boring because I'm quiet. Most of our conversations are about tv shows we watch. She doesn't mind at all though.

However, I keep getting stressed out because that is all we talk about for the most part. Besides that, we joke around a lot. I feel like I need to do more. I don't know. What do you think?

Dont take any advice from my post. I personally started out by only doing cardio-type exercise for a while. Then I gradually started introducing more and more weight lifting while reducing cardio and Im pretty happy with the progress Im making. Im not sure if body types like ectomorph, endomorph, and mesomorph are scientific distinctions, but I would consider that I am of a body type that sort of struggles to gain muscle or fat easily.

I'm the opposite. I gain weight pretty quickly.

I'm at my heaviest ever. I think the medication I'm taking also played a role in that... just a small one. I don't want to blame all my weight gain on it. I'm a big part of the problem. lol

I'm fine with that. I should have mentioned I want to lower my body fat. I don't really care about the number on the scale.

As long as you don't hurt yourself, you'll be fine but heavy weigh lifting isn't an optimum calorie burner but can definitely help as secondary workouts.

I'll slowly add more cardio to my routine as the weight (fat) comes off and I build stamina.

I won't be doing heavy lifting like I used to because I only have 35 lbs. dumbbells. I'm not struggling with them right now or anything, but I'm very tired after the short workout I did. I expect to be sore tomorrow.

Lifting isn't really a great way to lose weight.

If you live in an apartment complex hit the pool. Full body work out that will burn a lot of calories.

I do not have access to a pool unfortunately.

I can't jog on the cardio at the moment because it can do damage to my knees or something like that. If I weighed less then sure I'd try it. Besides, I wouldn't last too long jogging in my current condition. I'd slowly have to increase my stamina.

darcandkharg31 posted...
If you were lifting and doing cardio before shouldn't you already have an idea of what you can do with them and what to expect?

I used to do heavy lifting and jogging on the cardio. I don't know what to expect with a set of 35 lbs dumbbells to be honest.

Posted this on the Fitness board too.

I have a set of 35 lbs dumbbells.

I was wondering if you guys think that will get the results I want?

What I want is to simply lose weight. I'm about 240 lbs at the moment. I lost 30 lbs earlier this year through diet alone. I still have a long way to go.

Because I'm pretty heavy I'm not going to focus too much on cardio. My plan is to walk on high incline for 15 minutes on the days I'm not lifting. For lifting I'm going to do a modified starting strength program. I'll make changes to my routines as I do some research for other exercises. Today was my first day lifting in a long time and simply wanted to get my feet wet.

I would love to do more but I've never had much energy. In fact, my energy is even lower than it was 6 years ago which was the last time I got in shape (went from 200 to 180 lbs if I remember correctly and I was actually lifting and doing cardio and I felt and looked great). I can't do that at the moment. I hope I'll be able to some day. I'm only 29.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I want to make some big changes. I'm tired of feeling like crap and I'm tired of having low self-esteem. I know what you're asking. Why not go to the gym? The reason is because I dislike driving and there is a ton of traffic in my area. I'll be stuck in traffic for a while.
