Most of the stuff my family eats is the exact same as thanksgiving. Smoked turkey (and/or fried turkey if my uncle feels like doing it that year), candy yams, macaroni and cheese, collard greens w/ either turkey necks or bacon mixed in for flavor, potato salad, homemade stuffing (the good stuff with the chicken gizzards mixed in. Yessir. My aunt used to make this version of stuffing that had some brocolli and a little cheese, oysters, and shrimps mixed in it....good lord I miss it, =( ), glazed ham, cranberry sauce (we only eat this at christmas), some homemade red velvet cake and sweet potato pie.

4th of july and memorial day is when we go all out on the grill.

Also, I kind of agree turkey. I can only eat it in 3 ways.....smoked on the grill (charcoal smoking. Can't stand gas grills. Hank hill can go kick rocks, lol), deep fried, or cooked in a pressure cooker. Any other way tends to be too dry for me.

I had this problem with borderlands 3 in that I wanted to hear more of the music but I could barely hear it because of how loud the sound effects are. Going through the different sound options barely helped. Forget about it if you are playing 4 players with explosions going off every second or two.

Had to go on youtube to listen to that cool katagawa jazz boss theme in that one place since I barely heard it during gameplay.

Played the hell out of left 4 dead 2 in it's heyday. Versus multiplayer was crazy addicting. Gears of war 3 multiplayer was something special, and I doubt any future gears of war game will be surpassing that one anytime soon.

For co-op games, phantasy star universe on the 360 was my favorite, all the way up to it's server shutdown in 2012.

If all you care about is input lag, then it is excellent with that. Everything else about that TV is kind of mediocre, and if you want this TV for future console and PC games then the HDR abilities won't impress. HDR will be worthless on this set since it doesn't have a wide color gamut and it will get nowhere near bright enough for highlights in HDR to even matter/really low nits. It can apparently put out decent blacks because it has a high contrast, but this set also does not have local dimming at all, so yeah...HDR might as well not even exist.

If you want to have a decent HDR set at a budget, then you at least need to add about 300 more bucks to your budget and go for this TCL TV instead:

Yes. My uncle is the pastor of a church, aunt, mother, and a few other members in my family were ministers. Had to do this Sunday school thing every summer that I hated doing with a passion because this group of boys for whatever reason used to love to try picking fights with me and a friend.

By the time I was 15 in 1998 I was pretty much putting my foot down and saying the hardcore church life isn't for me. The sunday service (which there was 2 back then...one like 10 am to 2 pm. and again from 6 pm to 10 pm), Wednesday service, then Friday service got to be a bit much. Haven't been to many services since then.

My mother herself was pretty much done somewhere around 2004 or so. There was a shitton of drama in that church, and damn near every single minister was hypocrites/used to be judgemental about other people and their family when they had a ton of ol' skeletons in the closet theirselves. There was this huge thing none of us real young kids back then knew about where there was an affair going on between this one minister and another's wife.....said dude used to get on my older brother and the kids his age about premarital sex, =/

My dad was never about this church, lol. His religion. whatever it is, was way more laid back. For him, saying a mini prayer before new years day was enough.

For the collector, at some point you will need more gold bars or cash to buy the necessary tools to get most of the collectables...a shovel and a metal detector.

If you are just starting out, I'm thinking the trader might be better since it doesn't require extra money for start up to start off hunting and then delivering supplies off that starting small wagon.

Lessee here.....my pops, always the outdoors type, grew up constantly roughhousing with friends or whoever else, played basketball at the gym until he was in his like, early 50s, and despite being in his mid 60s and retired still goes to the gym every single sunday and wednesday without fail, vs me, with my self-admitted nerdy ass, staying in-doors as much as possible, and was pretty sickly as a kid so I was a friggin' feather weight-wise (i had to weigh like, 100 pounds or so as a 14 year old. My doctor used to prescribe me that ensure drink just so I could gain some weight). My female cousins and the females I knew at the church my mother regularly took me to used to sometimes come up behind me, get me in some ol' ninja shit hold, and then just started princess carrying me because they thought it was the most hilarious thing in the world. (Honestly, it was pretty funny looking back at it, lmao).

There is no doubt in my mind I would get absolutely demolished. Doing much better nowadays weight-wise. (a little too well. 6 foot 1, 240ish pounds), but eh, I'm lazy so I'll still no doubt lose.

Going through 3D world on 4 players with my brother and two nephews definitely had to be one of my most fun gaming experiences.

Wouldn't mind doing that again but with more levels, and hopefully some sort of online mode where you can at least invite people on your friends list to a co-op session.

Just the super nintendo. My dad got it for me as a get well gift since I was involved in a car accident that I was lucky enough to survive from. Def. my most cherished console...loved the hell out of the snes.

Every other console my house had was gotten either shortly after release, or a good year or two in from when the console released. (My brother did get a dreamcast on day one...him and a friend actually sat and chilled in walmart until they started selling them at midnight, all to get in on that soul calibur action, lol).

Depends on the game for me. With the gears of war series (and the oldies like quake and wolfenstein), I am all about the pvp. For games where it feels like auto-aim is the main way to play (I get this feeling for pretty much every third person shooter game rockstar makes), then I prefer the pve modes.

For the past 2 years, it feels like I have a ton of insomnia problems..for a few days, I can get a decent 6 or 7 hours of sleep, but then the next like 3 weeks I can only sleep for 2 or 3 hours at a time.

Even worse when i happen to fall asleep in the afternoon....end up feeling like a vampire lurking the house being up from 8 pm to like, 3 pm the next day, lol.

Triple triad was fun as hell. The battle system sucks. It has a nice ost, and laguna (with his awesome battle theme) with his crew should have been the main characters.

Out of the three ps1 final fantasies, its my least favorite. 7>9>8.

Simulation type sports games. Its not that I hate them, but at the same time I will never buy one with my own money. I grew up playing stuff like double dribble, bases loaded, tecmo super bowl, rbi baseball, and every other sports game on the nes on up because both my dad and brother were huge sports fans. They would at times hog the NES, SNES , and genesis when I am trying to play my rpgs, lol. I am into the more arcadey type of sports games like nba jam, nfl blitz, and mutant league football.

In turn, my dad hates rpgs with a passion. One look at games like final fantasy, dragon warrior and whatever else and he is all like "man, why they all stand in a row taking turns hiting crap? Why is there numbers for doing damage. Why this game got so much reading....I already read all the damn time at work"....used to crack me up, lmao.

I bought the doom psvr bundle when they had that sale for 199.99 this past november, it came with everything needed to get VR going (this includes the playstation camera). This bundle did not come with the ps move wand though.

That one includes that beat saber game. From the little bit I read, you technically only need one move controller for that beat saber game, but everyone strongly recommends two because you apparently will miss out on a huge chunk of that game without two move controllers.

I have heard stories from friends up north (in new jersey specifically) on how they had to deal with the "acting white" BS from their peers though.

From the talks we used to have about our highschool experiences, they gave me the impression that going to an inner city school in new jersey was god awful. (I mean yeah, a lot of us grew up seeing films like lean on me, but you can expect a movie to exaggerate things at times. The anger/snapping I used to do when my mom or older brother's friends called our house phone and knocked me off the net was bat-shit insane, looking back at it. *My parents had to start taking away the dreamcast, or just simply taking away my phantasy star online disc because I was wild'n out hard. I am definitely grateful for that these days*

Yeah, that best combat in the series stuff is definitely debatable among the tales of fanbase. I, for one, will always prefer the tales of games with air combat, since air combos is my shit. Farah in eternia, regal in symphonia, judith in vesperia, a lot of the cast in destiny remake, xillia 2, practically everyone in hearts R, etc. Even more so once you can start chaining shit in any order you want.

The "artes tree" tales games like graces f, zestiria, and berseria got old after a certain point to me.

A lot of areas in south carolina had no power when hurricane matthew came in 2016. The area I lived at had no power for like, two weeks...everyone's houses was out of power for at least a week minimum.

This happened in october though, so despite the vast majority of our power lines getting fucked up by fallen trees, the weather actually felt nice outside, =/ My family was fine....we just used our cars to charge our phones/my older brother and I have 3DSes and vitas that we also charged via the car, and used those for entertainment/keep my young nephews entertained, relied on candles and portable lights for lighting, got through my game informer magazine that gamestop sends me every month yet barely read backlog, ate grilled hotdogs, chicken, or whatever else we had for those two weeks. Just drive around for awhile when we got tired of sitting in the house all day. There was a good deal of people using power generators....including our neighbors across the street, who kept theirs running all hours of the night, lol.

We would definitely be investing in a generator just for the AC had something like this happened in the summer, because it gets hot as hell around here during the summer time.

The vast majority of the tales of series, since the battle systems are usually fun enough that I intentionally get into fights as much as possible. Tales of destiny 2 NA (eternia), tales of symphonia, tales of the abyss, tales of vesperia, tales of graces F, tales of xillia, tales of xillia 2, tales of hearts R, tales of berseria, etc.

Red dead online has been improving since it's release...the recent updates has been making the online actually fun to play lately. Way more free roam events now.

At the end of it's lifespan, I don't believe I owned more than 25 or so N64 games. I used to rent the vast majority of them. Those 25 or so games I owned were the shit though. Having built in 4 player was pretty legit though, and good times were had when it came to the best multiplayer games. (gauntlet legends with the expansion pack, perfect dark w/expansion pack, conker's bad fur day and wwf no mercy being "the big 4" for me and the crew/the fam. God those no mercy matches we had was legendary, lol).

This game was stupid fun if you actually had a multitap and others to play co-op with), star ocean 2, grandia, nfl gameday series, nba live (back when the releases were good, lol), xenogears, vagrant story, legacy of kain soul reaver, tomb raider 2 and 3, oddworld, silent hill 1 and 2, megaman X4-X6, megaman legends 1 and 2, megaman 8, klonoa door to phantomile, tony hawk pro-skater, spider-man game that is actually pretty damn great compared to past spidey games (best he had before was separation anxiety, a beat-em up), etc. etc.

Man I can keep up with all the great ps1 games I owned for a good while longer. Line-up was insane for it's time.

You ain't really saying anything new, lol. A lot of consoles throughout gaming history that had the most horse power for it's era lost out to the weaker consoles with the better game library. The NES compared to the master system, genesis and SNES compared to the turbo graphix 16/neo geo, etc., playstation compared to the 64 and dreamcast, the playstation 2 compared to the gamecube and original xbox, etc.

The dude is definitely an angry jackass, but at the same time I could imagine catching hell from practically everyone about your height for XX amount of years can definitely start to get on one's nerves.
