It didn't happen and even the highest tax rates weren't ever actually paid. It's completely unenforceable without giving the government totalitarian control. It would be even more unenforceable today.

They won't let you. Their assets will be far out of reach before you get anywhere close to them. Also, people having their stuff stolen is harmful to them. Just because you are jealous and they have spare resources doesn't mean it's not harmful.

You didn't address my point though. Not being a member of a group doesn't mean it's stupid to defend members of said group.

First, a few decades is a pretty strong assumption, particularly when someone already has health problems to the point where they need a kidney transplant. Second, if you're willing to donate it, why not donate it to someone much younger who hasn't lived a full life?

Edit: Some quick research tells me the guy was actually 72 at the time of the transplant, lost both of his kidneys to cancer, and his wife was already deceased. I respect that it's her choice, it just seems wasteful.

I agree strongly with this sentiment, actually. There was a girl on a gameshow I was watching who was in her 20s who donated her kidney to some guy in his 60s and I could only think about what a tragic waste of an organ it was.
