Maybe that will help someone else remember better than me. Maybe it was a location in space somewhere. I watch tons of documentaries about space and crap and I know it was in something like that. | HYPERMECHA 08/14/19 5:46:37 AM #21 | It used to happen more often because washing machines didn't have a clutch that sensed when the load was too heavy, so if a kid got in it would just literally suck them down and twist them around the wringer like it's supposed to do with the clothes. I imagine that's a really horrible way to die, getting twisted, ripped and drowning all at the same time. *shudders One time when I was a little kid I just stuck my arm into the washing machine while it was going. My mom left the lid up. I just liked playing in water. Some clothes got wrapped around my arm and started pulling me in. Fortunately I could smack the stop button and get my arm out...I never even told my mom. More modern washers have a sensor that will help stop the wringer if it's close to getting jammed, although that's not a guarantee that it will stop killing a kid if they're small enough. Ours is old and it will throw itself into the wall on the spin cycle if it gets off balance, and lurch all over the room. It has pulled its own cord out. Ours will not go into the spin cycle if the lid is up, but it will certainly keep chugging away with the lid up and sometimes I worry about if I turn around to grab laundry, one of our doofus cats slipping in. Although I'm always right there and I usually don't even let it go into the chugga-chugga cycle until I'm done putting all the clothes in and shut the lid. One time one of our cats got into the dryer and bedded down way in the back while I was taking some stuff out. I realized the clothes were still a little damp so I shoved it back in, slammed the door and turned it back on. Luckily within a split second I heard a thump and realized the cat was no longer next to me, opened the door and she strolled out like nothing happened. I'm not saying there aren't some really brilliant ones on there, but you almost have to do some research before hand. If you try to pick one from the feed going by the notes, a lot of them are real stinkers. My husband and I resorted to just clicking randomly with our eyes closed just to see if we were picking bad ones unintentionally for some reason, and those ones were even worse. It's common that one of us will bail by the time half the movie is over. It's usually him, because I have a personal rule about giving a movie a chance once I commit and not walking away from it. But these are just awful. Also, Disney is a poop factory. They taint everything they touch with a sheen of s*** and ruin it. Have fun with that. --- | [_]| LDK Opendingux |+_;| bittboy |

If you're going to invest your money there are hundreds of better ways to do it than making a few extra bucks (maybe) on a toy you never got to touch. Most toys/collectibles don't even gain worth over time, they lose it. Just because a company says something is "collectible" doesn't mean it will automatically go up in price. The only thing that makes something worth more later on is if there weren't that many made, and there's a demand for it. Your life is shorter than you realize. I have collectible stuff from the 70s and 80s that I took very good care of and regardless, the plastic has degraded and become brittle. Plastic and even some die cast metal, rubber, it wasn't meant to last 20, 30, 40 years. A "collectible" is meant to sell and make money for some company right now and they couldn't care less what happens to it afterwards. Keeping it in the package doesn't accomplish anything.
