I've heard chonker plenty

But either way, fat people spend money too, and wear underwear too

God knows why people have an issue with CK for targeting specific segments of customer, every company does it...

If trying to attract a group of customers to buy your product is pandering then p much all advertising is pandering, what's the issue?

Probably not as it would suck to have all the films, tv shows, books, websites, news items, personal emails, social media conversations etc that I've found enjoyable, useful or important to me suddenly disappear and never be accessible again would probably make me miserable

I also enjoy language learning so the world being monolingual isn't something I care about

Can't speak for the people itt who are bothered by it, but I didn't know this radiation thing was for real

Always assumed it was some nonsense that anti-vax types would believe in

......you do know that there was even a recent study that showed we are growing tiny horn like bones on our head due to too much slouching while on the phone right
https://www.health.com/mind-body/horns-on-humans

Is that true? Article here seems to suggest the study has problems: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/smartphones-arent-making-millennials-grow-horns-heres-how-to-spot-a-bad-study

why do some people care how other people hold their phones when talking?

For me, it's because I was curious why they were holding it in a strange way.

I don't watch reality TV so wasn't aware they were copying those people

Isn't everyone's mic on the bottom of their phone?

You don't have to have your mouth almost touching the mic anyway, works just fine holding it normally

Because they probably watch dumb reality TV where they do that solely to let the camera hear the conversation and they confuse that with what you should actually do in reality.

lol wow. Never watched these shows so didn't know.

Mad stuff

Like this: https://bit.ly/2YvaJp8

I've seen a lot of people doing this now and it's so confusing

So..they make or receive a call, put it on speaker phone and then hold it in front of their face and talk into it. But they're not doing other stuff with their hands, or sharing the call with anyone else, the two main reasons that speaker phone is useful.

I understand it for video calls but for normal phone calls...why? I feel like I'm missing something obvious

My housemate does this all the time so I asked her, and she said she didn't know why she does it(!)
