Is this just a technique to calculate it out so you don't have to wait on someone else?

I mean we already have a set meeting time. Be there then. I'm consistently like ten minutes earlier than people who like to send notices when they leave for somewhere.

One time I got to a restaurant (at the time we confirmed), waited around for my friend for ten minutes, then walked in, got a table, ordered my drink and my food. He walks in like 20 minutes late and said "You never texted me that you were leaving...." I was like we said 7.....

I saw this written for the first time today, right after seeing that post actually.

It was in 3 during a substory.

The best grammar guide I ever used when I first started out was "Japanese the Manga Way".

The title makes you think of those lame "how to draw manga" books but it's a really good grammar guide that uses examples from actual manga (mostly 80s and older stuff).

Any resources you'd recommend using to prep for N1 now that you've taken the test?

N1 test is tomorrow. Pretty confident overall, but I definitely wouldn't say passing is a sure thing, lol

Tell me how it is.

I'm interested in taking it. Maybe next summer.

I know I should take it once even if I fail just to have an idea what to work on, though.

I don't have too much trouble reading (fiction at least, I've been reading JP VNs for a couple of years) now but I have a bit of trouble actively producing Japanese on my own rather than just reading comprehension so that's what worries me.

Have any of you guys thought about taking the JLPT?

I want to take N1 but I'm afraid the listening will destroy me. I still suck at listening.

I've been studying/reading Japanese for like four years and words I don't know still pop up a decent amount, so be prepared for that not to end for years. I know enough that it's not too much of a hindrance to reading though. Like I got through Yakuza Kiwami 2 in Japanese just fine. VNs I can read pretty comfortably too unless they get really technical or specialized in vocab.
