You can have a small mountain town with 800 people 30 miles from the nearest walmart and fast food place. That's the boondocks. The sticks is the places outside that small town up a hollow somewhere. You might even say a...Podunk Hollow! I actually only learned that expression today. Is it common? Do many Americans know it? --- Sunhawk's main alternate account. | MeIon Bread 10/29/19 8:57:52 AM #1 | High Tier Terminator 2: Judgement Day Very Good Tier Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Good Tier Terminator: Genysis Terminator Okay Tier Terminator Salvation Terminator: Dark Fate All just in my opinion, of course. I think most people could get behind Terminator 2 being the best, of course. The AMAZING special effects for the time, the characters and plot, and more than anything, the tone - dark, threatening, ambiguous, and actually quite terrifying. Salvation and Dark Fate were reasonably entertaining - that is to say, I don't regret watching them - but they had problems. I really enjoyed the third film, and never understood why people think it's so bad, or at least, so mediocre. The T-X was a very good villain; the characters worked quite well; the special effects were excellent; the sense of humour was playful. I won't deny, though, it's mostly the action that worked, and the rest of the elements didn't really compare to T2. It felt...slim. Very good franchise in general. Definitely gone on too long, however. Should've stop after the third film, since things wouldn't've gotten repetitive, trilogies work well, and the story would end with Judgement Day (and we know that John Connor leads the Resistance to victory post-Judgement Day, as well). I probably have something like 100 hours on it. But, why does it only have 7 worlds, and why are they similar to each other? People like variety, large numbers of worlds, and also, Super Mario 64 established an excellent template for 3D platform-adventure game design...which has been followed by almost every 3D Mario since. It's clever, how Miyamoto put variety into the levels, but it could've been a lot more variety. In a way, the lack of worlds bothers me even more. Why not put in 9 or 10 worlds? Maybe an extra cove level (like Noki Bay), or a cave level. Another problem, is the amount of filler content. There seem like a fair number of filler challenges, both in the hub world and the individual worlds. --- Sunhawk's main alternate account.
