Yeah, I'm super iffy about the first match. This is one of those cases of being in the right mood for one thing versus another, and DEMON TRUCK is a really fun listen. Dark Man is very layered and technical, but I find the lead synth to be really underwhelming to the point of damaging the whole. Dark Man has flesh, but the ingredients aren't mingling. DEMON TRUCK is more consistent, but also really musically simple, like a Turrican something-or-other. It's close, but Dark edges with the tech points.

Sad I missed the vote-in for Prince of Egypt, which I'll always maintain is DreamWorks' best animated feature. Regardless of how you feel about the subject matter, (and I'm sure at least someone here voted against it squarely because of that) it's an incredible ride with some of the most resonant and striking imagery ever put to film.

Oh I'm not disparaging Monsters, but I do think LEGO Movie has a lot to say; the sorts of things that resonate deep and press questions in your mind long after the credits. Both of these movies wear their heart on their sleeves, but LEGO is more personal.
